shauna vayne arrives through the doors of the conjugal room. not in her uniform that everyone would identify as the vigilante that takes care of demacia, a champion within the league, but as the famous daughter of the late lord vayne and his wife. she's dressed up appropriately, her hair salt and pepper, and dark shades that shields her eyes from the son and attention from those that would like to look at her.

[This whole relationship, or whatever it is, can pretty much be summed up as "bad decisions". Like the one Ivan was making right now, coming all the way to Gotham to visit one jail bird.

He's not a face that's well-known enough to draw attention (after all, he's no Barnaby), but he still has enough influence to get a private visit. He rubs sweaty palms on his pants as he waits for the guard to bring Jason on, unsure if he was being unusually bold with going ahead with this, or if he was so damaged that not even bars could quell his desire to see him. Just one more time, he tells himself.

He fights the overwhelming urge to weep when the other man is finally brought in, only managing a weak smile instead. Like he isn't terrified, or ashamed at how glad he is to see him. He doesn't raise his eyes.]

Either way, the Beacon Hills jail is pretty small. She manages to slip the keys off the deputy with a smile and a quick brush against him. She promises she's only going to talk to her friend. Then for some reason there was a call and he forgot that she's back there. Gee. How unfortunate.

Keys spinning around her finger, she heads toward the cell where he's locked up.]

"This is completely wrong," Molly murmurs quietly, throwing her arms around him when they're finally in the same room together. No more bars or walls or any of that nonsense. "You shouldn't even be in here. Are you all right? No one's making any trouble for you, right?" Worry ekes from every syllable of her sentences as she clings to him tightly. They only have so much time together, but even the simplicity of hugging him, feeling him against her again - it's been well worth the wait.

It actually happened too fast to even stop it.

She was clever. He knew she was, but he didn't realize just how clever until it was too late. Moriarty created a crime, executed it, and had him blamed for it all from the safety of her prison cell. And Sherlock, sideswiped by the viciousness of the triple murder he was blamed for, had no way out of it.

The trial was impending, though slow going. Also no doubt her. He was going to be found guilty. Were he a juror, he'd find himself guilty, that's how bloody good she was.

"Conjugal visit," he's informed, six months into his stay.

"Tell whoever it is that I've got a headache," he says.

"You'll have to sign---"

"I was joking."

Anne isn't exactly sure how this ended up a conjugal visit; she knows that there are supposed to be background checks for this sort of thing, and a large list of requirements. Maybe it was the fact that she showed up in her uniform and asked to see him that was what tipped the scales this way. It is a general rule that prison guards tend to give each other special treatment.

And she supposes it's certainly better than trying to discuss sensitive matters (namely proving that Sewell was responsible for what he's currently locked up for) on those cheap corded phones on either side of a scratched plastic divider. So she'll take what she can get.

Never mind the awkward factor. But she just won't think about that. Never mind the implications.

Instead of really considering any of that she just sits in a chair in one of the visiting rooms and waits, wonders whether or not she should give him help for getting himself caught and locked up all over again. Probably not. Considers that he probably won't be expecting to receive a visit from her. Or from anyone.

Well, there are worse kinds of surprises.
