[He hardly pays any attention to whatever crowd has formed around him. The only thing Psyche is concerned with at this point is flashing him one long, broad, sunny smile. Right now he doesn't have to hum, doesn't have to sing, doesn't have to speak, doesn't have to do anything for his sugary sweet grin to convey how absurdly amused he is by this toddler victory.

He grabs Izaya's hand and scratches until his fingers slip between the other man's, simply grinning. Now he's content, he just wants to rub it in.]

[It's highly tempting to just punch Psyche in the face and wipe that idiotic grin right off it, but Izaya is not the type to give in to mindless violence (that's more Shizu-chan's forte), and so he just stands stiffly as the other man forces their hands together, giving it a moody shake to show he is displeased and would rather Psyche isn't touching him right now. But he huffs, and begins to walk briskly back in the direction of his apartment]

Ah, I'm sick of this. We're going home.

[A small inconvenience but nothing he can't work to his advantage. Psyche is well aware that once Izaya enters his apartment, he can zip straight to work and ignore him. But for now he swings their arms side to side and skips a pace ahead. If he's the one leading the direction, maybe he can swerve elsewhere at the last second.]

[And Izaya makes no attempt to prevent him from leading for the moment, still scowling a little at his double's back and allowing himself to be slightly pulled along as they head in the direction of his apartment. He's planning to ditch him as soon as they get inside, of course, just as the other suspects, and so for now he'll put up with the other's behaviour for as long as they're heading in the right direction]

[Psyche starts to panic with each step. There aren't too many distractions along this route and, unfortunately, there aren't any handcuffs binding them together. Even if he darts off in a different direction, there's nothing to ensure Izaya will follow suit. With his hand laced between Izaya's, he begins to pick at one of his rings, seeing if that will get a rise out of him. Wiggling off the two rings wouldn't be too hard of a task for him.]

[And this would be Izaya moving his free hand to slap at Psyche's absently when he feels him beginning to wriggle his rings; why is it that he can never keep still and just behave a little?]

[He just mutters it quietly, under his breath]

[Probably for the same reason Izaya can't seem to stay out of trouble. It's just something that comes naturally. As for Psyche, he smiles as saccharine as can be and gives the hand a quick squeeze.]

[He always finds it just a little disturbing to see that kind of look on a face that so closely resembles his own. He just raises a brow, however, turning his face in order to regard his double more fully]

If I let you try them on, you wouldn't give them back.

[Sorry, is this face bothering you? The smile grows.]

I'll give them back! I don't want them anyway. I just want to see how big your hands are.

[Really, it is a little disturbing to see. He'll be looking away quickly now.]

And is there any particular reason why I should trust you? Besides, you must know how big my hands are by now. You've seen them often enough.

[And he's observing Psyche covertly from the corners of his eyes as he moves closer to him]

Ah, sure you will. You won't try to keep them or 'accidentally' drop them just to piss me off, right?

[His words are non-too subtly laced with sarcasm, here. Though he supposes if the double does refuse to give them back he can always pry them off while he sleeps. Fingers included, if necessary]

[Psyche picks up on the tone, sure, but all it does is convince him that he'll have to ditch the rings somehow so Izaya doesn't come after his fingers.]

If it's an accident, how can I know whether or not it will happen?

Don't be obtuse.

[And he turns to look at Psyche more fully, though his expression is still far from lacking in suspicion. They may have their (dramatic) differences, but Izaya feels there are enough similarities to suspect nothing but another attempt at tactical annoyance]

You can't have them, stop asking. If you really feel the need to measure my hands you can hold one of them against yours for comparison.

[He expected the reluctance but not a flat out rejection. And here he thought talking back to Izaya might butter him up. Well, if that's not working, no need to continue with it. He takes hold of Izaya's offered hand and sets to prying it off himself.]

[An action that causes Izaya to come to a stop and quickly try to snatch his hand away, turning to bodily face his double now. He realises - a little late, perhaps - that this is possibly what Psyche wants, to stall him and prevent him from removing himself from the double's company too quickly, but he tells himself they'll continue towards the apartment in just a moment]

[And he shrugs, rolling his eyes]

Sometimes dealing with you is like babysitting a small child.

[Psyche wrinkles his nose, considering his options. Swiping at Izaya like an animal isn't at the top of his list and it's always best to treat an Orihara with delicacy. He wraps his arms around Izaya's ribs and rubs his cheek against his chest, cooing little murmurs that practically say "Please? Please?"

The longer he can keep Izaya still, the better, and for now this will do unless Izaya starts swinging him around.]

[But Izaya doesn't start swinging him around; he just looks down at the falsely-affectionate double and huffs. He's used such tactics on him before, and he's well aware that Psyche will either keep it up until he is forcibly removed or gets what he wants. He moves to try and disentangle the other man, attempting to slip his slender hands beneath the other's arms and forcibly extract him]

I said no.

[He's shoved away without too much effort. Psyche doesn't do much besides sigh loudly and puff his cheeks out. Oh, and tug on the hem of Izaya's jacket. Insistently. Careless, you-would-mind-if-I-ripped-this-right? tugs.]

[Which prompts Izaya to catch hold of Psyche's wrist and attempt to try pulling him back in the direction of the apartment]

You'll just have to think of another game to play. One that doesn't involve either stealing or losing me property~

[Plans foiled, Psyche isn't given much of a choice other than to respond as a perfectly mature adult: he sticks out his tongue, promptly blowing a raspberry in Izaya's general vicinity.]

[Which causes Izaya to tug back harder, determined to drag his double back to the apartment before locking himself in his study; maybe the sharper pulling will be enough to dissuade Psyche from continuing]

[Hardly! Izaya isn't the only stubborn one set on getting his way. Psyche wraps a second hand around the slender wrist and continues to tug, now putting the full of his weight into the relentless, snappy jerks.]
