Almost. As the name suggests, missile toads are extremely destructive. Their favourite food is berries. You hang it from high places, and they gather beneath it, looking up. It makes the safest spoke under them. It throws off their aim and they can't hit anything.

Hence the tradition of missing beneath the missile toads.
