[Cass isn't the most eloquent type, but that's a new one for her. The strangled noise is her trying not to make a sound, her boots writhing on the floor as she tries. It doesn't help, the next sounds is her cry echoing off the walls.

The culprit? One Stephanie Brown, her lips on the side of Cassandra's neck, her fingers working between the veteran Batgirl's thighs. There'd been a challenge, Cass asserting she could take whatever Steph gave out without a noise.

Cass had been trained to resist pain. Gunshots. Beatings.

Never pleasure.

Her body quakes and she cries out again, clamping her thighs around Steph's hand as her inner walls do the same, a sudden spray erupting from where the blonde's fingers worked and spattering against the floor, painting a vulgar line to the wall where they stood.

What a fun time that would be. So, practical elf that Rook is, she leaves one kiss under Neve's left breast, and lifts her head. ]

[ This being her hair. Gathered into a twisted low pony tail and pressed into Neve's hand, the long strands falling like silk over Rook's shoulder and onto Neve's chest.

Well. Dalish and their long hair thing, Rook has not eschewed that tradition. She likes the sight of it, both in Neve's hand and in Neve's hand.

[ Sometimes, one has an itch to scratch that can't wait until the world is saved. This has been one such itch, and it hits her as they return to the Lighthouse, a revived Manfred in tow. Rook's heart is pounding, because she can't contain the wave of pride and affection and joy for Emmrich's choice to confront his mortality, and not run from it.

He's listing off the books he wants Manfred to read, as they take the two sets of staircases up to the upper chambers, and Rook follows them both, biting back a smile at the familiar hisses of the skeleton-slash-spirit-slash-mage.

Then they're in the library, somewhere on the upper floor where Emmrich keeps his more esoteric books (and the view of the Fade) and between one argument for the finer points of necromancy and the next, Rook's expression changes from bemusement to intent.

She is going to kiss the professor. That's happening.

Then it happens, though she has to grab the lapels of his elegant coat to pull him down, on account of how bloody tall he is, but their lips meet and there is hunger and relief at once. At some point, between her ass landing on a heavy desk, and her fingers deftly unclasping his coat, she hears the door below open and close - Manfred making himself scarce.

Thank fuck, she wasn't going to bone (ha) him while his butler watched. ]

[ She really did play cards with Spite the whole time, this time around, while Lucanis slept. Sunrise comes up over Treviso, the light shining through the window of the (new) First Talon's bedroom, just as Rook slaps the winning hand on the bed between them, and Spite does that raspy noise that expresses - she wants to say indignation, but it's mostly that he's a sore loser. One ray of sun bounces off a shiny, golden, ornamental vase (house Dellamorte really is ridiculously rich) and catches her eye and she turns to look at the window. ]

Ah - sunrise. I guess that's time being up - well done, you've kept your word.

[ And when she turns to smile at Spite, she finds that the demon has retreated back to the more comfortable confines of Lucanis' soul, leaving the First Talon asleep on top of the covers, chest bare, his expression relaxed.

You'd think that she'd be tired, having spent the night awake entertaining his demon (package deal, always) but you'd be wrong. Rook's expression softens, a steady thrum in her chest as it expands with love at every breath.

She gets up, and pulls heavy curtains shut, and returns to bed to kiss the sleeping beauty awake. His forehead first, then the tip of his nose. Carefully balanced, one hand on his chest, she kisses the corner of his lips.

Lucanis wanted a lifetime waking up next to her, and he gets to have it. Unfortunately for him, she's had three coffees throughout the night and is now his problem. ]

( Info sheet here! Nadryn is a 110 year-old Lolth-sworn Drow who specialises in illusion magic. As the second son of the noble House Mizzrym he was raised in sumptuous luxury, which was sharply contrasted against the vicious and violent "training" that Drow are put through to cull the weak from society. He's a daydreamer with a great love of fiction and no real interest in scheming and politicking, however he's learned how to dissociate himself enough that he can play the part well enough to keep up appearances for the family. He is intensely afraid of Lolth, spiders, and Matron Iymniss Mizzrym herself, and is struggling to balance his eagerness for actually having companions with his fear of displeasing the Spider Queen.
