A Tiny Meme



Things always get interesting when you have someone small enough for another to hold in the palm of their hand. Whether they have a big protector to guard them, someone looking for their big fortune through exploiting such a tiny and vulnerable person, maybe a stranger just trying to deal with a very weird discovery.

It's Natural
1. Borrower The tiny people who live under the floorboards and in the walls, living off the little things that humans don't notice going missing.
They stay out of sight, or at least they're supposed to.
2. Wrong World Maybe it's the top of the beanstalk, maybe it's an alien world, but people around here are sure bigger than they were back home and while you haven't changed, you're still kind of tiny around here.
3. Fairy When fairies, leprechauns, and the like are involved, things are sure to get interesting. Tiny, yes, but not nearly as vulnerable as their more human counterparts.
4. Something else!

Now That's a Change
1. Science! Whether it's a shrink ray or an accidental chemical spill, someone's getting shrunk down to a more manage-able size.
2. It's a Curse You've ticked off a witch, fae, or some other magic user,a nd now there's something you've got to do to get them to turn you back.
3. Alice Shouldn't have eaten that. Has eating anything with 'eat me' on it ever ended well? The cake makes you very small, the bottle makes you very tall.
4. Just Woke Up You don't know what caused it, just that you woke up and now you're trying to find a way out of your suddenly huge pajamas.

Situation
1. Discovery The big people around you might not have known you were there/tiny before, but now they do!
2. Partnership It might not be normal, it might be, but you work with these people so much bigger than you.
3. Ownership Someone so little doesn't have all the rights of a normal person, right? Maybe it's a secret, maybe it's the norm, but you own them. Or you could be the one owned.
4. Relationship Difficult or not, you're going to make this work. On the bright side, you only have to buy one movie ticket, right?
5. Kinky So what if they're such a different size, you're going to find some way to get it on and nothing's going to stop you.
6. ???.

Loki lurked in the temple late most nights, avoiding the castle and his family more than burying himself in his studies, though there was plenty of that, too. Thus he was there when a very odd sound caught his attention, somehow grinding and musical, rhythmic and jarring all at once. And coming from a room where he happened to know some of the older apprentices had left their experiments half done. A little alarmed and a lot curious, the prince left his nook in the library and tiptoed to the workroom.

An odd blue box sat in the corner, which would have been quite interesting had it not been for the heavy smell of magic and smoke in the air and the work table the box had tipped over, smashing two jars on the floor that were probably to blame for the heavy miasma, and who knew what else? Loki wasn't technically old enough to have studied alchemy of the sort, but he was pretty sure those two shouldn't mix. "Hello?" he asked as he stepped into the room.

This cage wasn't Wufei's idea of a good time. But it had been charmed so not even his magic could budge the door to open or the bars to bend. Charmed to open only for his new master, he figured. Not that it stopped him from trying to wiggle through and ignore the slivers of pain that ran through him.

Whoever it was that he had been given or bought would be there any minute - he didn't know nor care which it was. It would be too late once the human so much as touched the cage. He wouldn't be able to harm that human once the bond was finished with a touch.

[ it had been an accident, of course, and it'll wear off on its own eventually, but kariya can't help but be charmed by it. kirei makes for a precious miniature, though he's decidedly less amused by it than kariya is. it's made things strange and difficult, and lancelot's been smug about it, but the white-haired man doesn't mind.

they're on the couch at the moment, kariya's legs pulled to his chest, and he's perched the other man on one of his knees. there's a movie on that he isn't actually watching, and lancelot's out. his attention is decidedly on his lover's tiny form, arms pulled in against his chest and sweater-clad hands held lightly over his mouth to hide his silly smile. (oh no, kirei is so cute.) ]

[It took Edgeworth the better part of a day to come to terms with the idea that this situation, as absurd as it is, is really happening. He's not having a new nightmare; he did, in fact, shrink from his usual 5'10" to just under three inches through some unknown cause between when the earthquake yesterday struck and when he woke up several minutes later. He's even had to deal with eating and other everyday needs like this.

Fortunately, everything he was wearing shrank with him, and while his shrunken cellphone's reception is questionable, he did manage to contact Gumshoe with it successfully this morning. Even in situations like this, the detective is well-trained to do as the prosecutor asks -- which, this time, happens to be to leave him at the door of Wright & Co. Law offices. Gumshoe seems eager enough to begin investigating on his own to find this take on things agreeable, but Edgeworth himself privately suspects that for a situation this strange, only Wright will do. Though there's no guarantee that he in particular will be there at this time...

In any case, standing at the door isn't enough on its own at this size. He's not so small that he can crawl under the door, so he needs to be let in. To that end, Edgeworth takes out his cellphone again and dials the Wright & Co. reception desk...]
