THE BDSM CLUB MEME

It's a classic scenario: you walk into a BDSM club, and you get your BDSM on. We've all been there. It happens every day. And now with the pop culture influence of novels like Fifty Shades of Grey, there's a greater chance than ever that your character finds themselves in such a space.

What are the rules? How does it work? Well, upon entry, character and given a bracelet that designates them as either a Dominant or a submissive. From there, things are just like any other club experience! Meet new people, grab a few drinks, watch as someone does a live demonstration on spanking your submissive.

Normal stuff, really.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Drop a top-level with some prefs. Make sure to specify if your character is a Dom or a sub. They can be both, too! Maybe there's a special switch wristband?

2. Tag around and get into it!

taking in the sights There's a lot to see. Before jumping into things, maybe you'd just like to watch for a while.

negotiations The crux of all BDSM scenes: talking things out ahead of time. What do you like? What don't you like? What are your no's? It's probably best to square this all away before getting started.

tools of the trade Now that we're here, we're going to need some gear. This party has everything!Floggers, paddles, whips, electro-stim, a man who'll punch you in the balls at random intervals.

overstimulated It's a lot! Sometimes your mind and body get overworked, and you get pushed to the max of your capabilities.

subdrop / topdrop After all the endorphins run out, it's possible to enter a state of X-drop, where your mind and your body just feel... bad. Guilt, self-consciousness, shame, embarrassment, all of these feelings might creep up.

new partner First time here? Series regular? In either case, it might be time for you to try on someone new, someone you haven't played with before.

ol' reliable Whether my happenstance or by careful planning, the two of you always seem to be here on the same days. You've played together, you work well together. Setting up a scene for today just seems natural.

clean up Before the show begins, or after the fact, it might behoove you to do a bit of tidying up. No one wants a stinky partner, so a quick shower and a floss should do.

aftercare Drink some water, eat some snacks, cuddle up with someone you trust and rest.

wildcard Whatever else this party might have for you.
