⑥ DANGEROUS. This really isn't the time to be getting romantic! If it goes wrong, you can always blame the adrenaline, right? Right.
⑦ SAD. Remember: a wet kiss is a memorable kiss, even if it isn't a good one.
⑧ TEASING. The tables have turned: this time, they will be the one left wanting more.

[Jackson doesn't really have any excuse for it. It's just one of those things that happens, no rhyme or reason, just there.

They'd been training together. Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes it's not: Jackson's arrogance hasn't kept pace with the fact that he's still new to this. He just can't keep his snide mouth shut and then someone lashes out and before long it's all glowing eyes and claws and ripped clothes. Hands struggle to find a purchase, shove the other body against the nearest hard surface and win. This is one of the latter.

Isaac had almost had him, pressed down to the floor, and Jackson doesn't know why he does it, but he kisses him. Lips pressed to the other teen's mouth as glowing blues look into Isaac's gold through fluttered eyelashes. The worst part is the shiver that sparks in his chest. What the hell?]

[He doesn't like fighting with Thomas. Things are supposed to be getting better between them, they're supposed to be a better family not that they aren't all consumed by revenge and hurt feelings, and fighting like this just makes him feel like they've failed somehow.

But being cooped up in this submarine for days has been running all their tempers a bit thin, and Thomas is still just so frustrating and horribly enchanting to watch when he's riled up like this--which is wrong, very wrong, of him to be thinking and maybe if he could get more than 100 yards from his brother he could stop thinking it--

He's not even sure what Thomas is on about any more--he tuned out any words a while ago--but his tone is annoying and there's work to do and Thomas really just needs to shut up. That's what has him taking a few steps closer until he's looming over his brother, that's what has him grabbing Thomas's collar and wrenching him up to kiss him--it's just to shut him up, that's all--


He definitely misjudged something though, like how irritated he is or that Thomas has grown a little bit, because all he ends up doing is knocking their foreheads together hard enough to make him stagger a bit.]

[You know what, it is very cold in the arctic. Usually he has a higher tolerance for that than his brothers but...it's cold, and it's even a bit colder than he'd like inside where they at least aren't getting snowed on. His hair helps with that a bit but...

What are little brothers/students/who even knows for if not for keeping their older brothers/mentors/awkward friends warm?

He waits until Kaito is sitting down somewhere but hasn't been sitting long enough to be completely invested in his work, and then Chris comes up behind him and drapes himself over Kaito like a heavy, lumpy, hugging blanket. And places a kiss on his temple for good measure. Things are still a bit tense between them, but that should be okay, right?]

[This isn't exactly the first time they've met up to discuss things like D-Wheel or figuring out a way to make their different dueling systems compatible, although it's close to it. It is the first time they've stayed up quite so late, although it's not like either of them doesn't have experience with that. It just sort of happens sometimes, in Chris's experience. And it doesn't look like heading to bed is in the near future either, not that he's thought of it. He was too busy retrieving some of his notes from the other side of the room to care about things like that.

Usually, Chris isn't very clumsy. He never went through that awkward stage of his limbs being longer than he's used to, he's always been fairly graceful, he's long since learned to be hyper-aware of his surroundings--if only to make sure his hair doesn't get caught in anything. Clumsiness is a thing for little brothers who sometimes get a bit too enthusiastic.

But accidents happen, especially when he's a bit tired, and sometimes shoes end up sticking to the floor a bit more than usual. Which is what has him tripping over his feet right before he reaches Yuusei's chair. He flings his hand out automatically to stop his fall--one ends up on the desk, and one ends up on Yuusei's knee, which just ends up moving the chair and throwing him even more off balance and...

Whoops.]
