one; hugging. you just want to give your loved one a warm embrace. be it out of happiness, to comfort them while they're down, or just to give them something warm to latch onto, you just want to wrap your arms around them.

two; kissing. whether it's a peck on the cheek or a deep kiss, a kiss good-bye or a romantic kiss, you find yourself compelled to kiss the other person! be as tender or as passionate as you so choose.

three; holding hands. it's a simple gesture, really -- to reach out and take someone's hand. but that one simple gesture can convey any number of sentiments. what the sentiment is, is up to you, but you find yourself reaching out to take your significant other's hand.

four; carrying. is your loved one hurt and needs a lift? do they want a piggyback ride? or do you just want to spare them the effort of walking? whatever the reason, you're now itching to pick up your partner and carry them to their destination.

seven; massaging. did your significant other have a rough day? did they get hurt? or do you just feel like doing something really nice for them? whatever it is, you're giving them a nice massage now. they'll feel wonderful in no time!

eight; flirting. the easiest way to break the ice or maybe you're just an overly flirty person.

nine; cuddling. sometimes there's just no better feeling than curling up next to each other on a warm sofa. hold each other, lie next to each other, fall asleep on each other -- it's all good here.

[She's right, of course. There are far, far better choices than the British Museum.

The Château La Coste is certainly one of those better choices. It takes hours to drag Loki through, including a particularly stubborn bout of lingering near Gehry's Music Pavilion out of the apparent firm conviction that the art couldn't be fully experienced until he'd seen the shadows moving over the course of some time. The Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght is another. It takes hours to force Loki all the way through the Miró Labyrinth, feet dragging and head tilting toward the tipping point to study the drag of colors and lines. The garden at the Musée Rodin is as well. Loki becomes stuck at Ugolino and His Children, almost rooting into place in his silent squinting consideration of the desperate forms. And, well, if there's art-viewing in Paris, it's probably some sort of crime not to go to the Louvre.

That's where Loki starts to huff and fidget. He flits much closer to the "human teen" flavors of himself, peeking into certain halls without being willing to pause, wandering past walls without looking up from his own shoes. It's possible this is going to be a bust--until, abruptly, his attention seems to snap and lock across an exhibition full of politely milling art-lovers.

Loki's fingers are always cool, and certainly are now as they reach to curl with Yelena's. His grip is intended to drag her with him toward the painting that's captured him, but don't quite unwind when he brings them to a halt before Vermeer's The Astronomer.]

[ Aerith may have tended to the garden at the church with all the care of a mother doting on her children, but the same couldn't be said for the maintenance of the church. There were far too many repairs for her to take on, nor did she really have much of a talent for that level of upkeep. With broken floorboards and loose nails, and tipped over artifacts from its former glory days, someone was bound to get an injury. She just hadn't thought it would be her, seeing as she was certain she knew every broken floorboard, loose nail, and tipped over artifact.

The last thing she had expected when she'd jumped to her feet and started a spring to the door when he'd shown up for a surprise visit, was the surprise of a board giving way under the weight of her foot.

With a thud, she lands less than gracefully on the floor, and she winces as pain shoots up her ankle. As the shock wears off she tries to quickly recover, so he won't worry about her, but she's pretty sure she's stuck. She forces a smile, intending to downplay the extent of her pain with a cheery tone. ]

Welcome home! I guess there's more than one way to fall for someone.
