HOW TO PLAY…
- Tag into each other’s posts. The person creating the original post defaults to protagonist unless stated otherwise! Feel free to be creative with the opening scenarios and cast list: these are suggestions to help you, not a set of commandments from on high. Note: By default, you will start at the beginning. If you and your partner are both up for it, you can always choose the LOAD option and pick up mid-game or at the end from your last save point.
- The goal of a dating sim is to get to that very sexy, sexy end. However it’s not a guarantee, and as an homage to the genre, we’ve tried to keep in line with that! Every few posts, the person playing the cast member should create a “flag post.” This is a tag which seems normal but at the end gives the protagonist a list of two to four choices to pick from for reactions, making it an exciting, choose-your-own-adventure game that will advance or regress the relationship of the characters depending on the appropriateness of the action! So what happens when the protagonist picks an option?
- a. Pick the “good” answer: get a heart on the cast member’s meter! ❤( We recommend putting these in the cast member’s subject line to keep track of.)
- b. Pick the “neutral” answer: nothing happens.
- c. Pick the “bad” answer: Lose a heart, or enter the ☠zone, which is an awful lot like the friend zone, only less pleasant. (Again, we recommend copying this symbol in the cast member’s subject line.)
- After a “flag” post, it’s generally a good idea to wrap up the particular “scene” with another short tag or two and do a time skip to another interaction with the character for more realistic relationship development.
- If you hit 4 hearts, congratulations! You’ve maxed out the luuuv meter and you trigger the super sexy game content.
- But wait! What if I have multiple crossbones? Or I just can’t seem to get there? Or what if I just can’t be bothered to go through all that work for my smut?
CHEAT CODES
Everybody knows there’s always certain glitches or Easter eggs included in games that let you do things that the creators didn’t necessarily have (officially) planned. The Love Hotel’s Dating Sim is no different, and someone has been so kind as to leave you a list of possible codes. The following codes can be entered in at any time (with your partner’s permission) to trigger the following:
- ♋SMUTTALICIOUS♋: The simplest of the codes , this one just skips you straight to a sex scene.
- ♋SMUTTALICIOUS SQUARED♋: You thought four hearts was maxed out? Try sixteen. This code acts as a heavy aphro option, just in case you want your partner to be super head-over-heels for you.
- ♋NEVER SAY NEVER♋: Triggers a smut scene too but with the difference that this scene is one outside the cast member’s usual comfort zone! Ex: A stoic character brings you to a bed strewn with rose petals and candles. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not an excuse to do something outside your roleplay partner’s comfort zone. Please be open and honest and respectful of one another here!!
- ♋I HATE YOU BUT I LOVE YOU♋: This cheat code triggers both ‘dislike’ and a smut scene. Hatesex for the win!
- ♋IT’S COMPLICATED: Wrong answers earn you a skull and right answers earn you a heart, but they all stack together. Warning: May make for some very hot, but very confusing, sex.
♋FISH OUT OF WATER♋: Ever want to find out how a housewife of modern-day suburbia would take to being in a horror setting? The future? The wild west? For the lulz, lift your wooing partner out of their proper setting and into one of your choice.- ♋HARDER AND LONGER BABY!♋: For the more experienced gamer, start the game off with your character in the negative zone earning half the hearts for each correct answer.
- ♋DOUBLE OR NOTHING♋: For those experienced gamers who just can’t be satisfied by one partner, try for two!
- ♋CODENAME COCKBLOCK♋: Perhaps you’ve maxed out all those hearts, but for some reason you’d like the PG-13 ending instead. We can do that, too!

Future: Spicy sweet alien bartender next door. Species of the Gerudez; an all woman culture who is said to bewitch men never to be seen again. Live very long lives. Very voluptuous.
Horror: Your local witch in the neighborhood. Has quite the clique of other witches. Sort of outcast. Will make potions for high prices, put curses on others, etc. etc.

Short Description of Character: Short. Wild crazy hair. Red eyes. Usually dressed in dark colors (leather if he can have it), and shiny silver jewelry. Play games with him and his heart levels will rise steadily. As for settings:
Future: Supposed clone with a botched memory. Captain of the S.S. Khem. He doesn't know who he is a clone of, and it haunts him. Slightly closed off.
Horror: Brooding vampire. He's really a nice guy, though. Can be found really anywhere, as long as it isn't daytime. Been alive so long he's started to forget some things about himself.
Fantasy: King of the land! He is a kind and generous ruler, but won't hesitate to lay down the law if you hurt the people or the country. Took the throne without marrying by way of his father's death. It's said his royal court is getting on his case about marriage, though.
School: Athlete. He does all kinds of sports. Games. Lots of games. He wins. At everything. And works very hard to do so! Swimming is a different matter. Don't make fun of his hair when it's wet and down! You'll lose heart points!!
Western: Cowboy. One of the best riders of the west! Don't get in a gun fight with him, you'll lose! He's saved many towns!!! HERO STATUS
Suburbia: Hahaha I kind of want to go for pool boy…. But since that's strange, working dad is fine too. Very focused on the job. And his little girl. Other parent is nowhere to be mentioned. It makes him sad.

It was hard to say what first attracted Aqua to Atem, maybe it was the mysterious brooding aspect of himself. A lot of girls fell for it and Aqua was no exception. Or it could be that she was the only one on the server staff that didn't giggle at the sight of him. One of the few people who managed to hold a conversation with him and managed to get close to him to be considered friends. Little by little he grew on her to where it was normal for her to go to his table after her shift was over to spend time talking with him. There was plenty for them to chat and discuss. Those conversation had lead them back to her apartment where the setting became intimate.
The days turned into weeks where they grew closer and she found his secret. It didn't stop her from staying friends and offering him a place to crash in case he couldn't find a dark area. He was a precious friend, someone she didn't want to lose. She loved him, something was scarier to admit to herself more than anyone else. It took one very long night for her to tell him how she felt where she was surprised to learn he felt the same. The night still brought a smile to her face.
Aqua pushed the thought to the back of her mind, forcing herself to focus on getting through her shift. She'd be home soon enough and maybe Atem might be there. Or, if she were luckier, maybe she'd see him at his usual table.

In the end he really did decide that staying away from the girl who held his recent affections would be for the best. Her safety was paramount, and he'd promised her that he was no monster. But instead of following his plan, he had loomed just close enough to her distance to pick up her scent, and followed it like a lost puppy dog, all the way until he was charming he way through the waitstaff to go sit at his spot in the back.
Fool.
What was it about her? And why now? Something inside of him was scrambled.
He ordered white wine instead, hoping that it would keep away from similarity enough to stay safe. He had better self control than this. The second the chilled bucket was left at his table, he shooed away the other waiter so he could pop the cork himself, expertly as usual, and pour himself a glass. Settling into his seat and sipping on the drink he almost felt a bit relieved. At least until she came into his line of sight. His tongue absently poked against the tip of his right fang. These people hardly deserved her radiance.

Aqua shook her head at herself, heading to the back to take a quick break. She had a snack before returning to the floor where she spotted him in the back. He wasn't hard to miss, not with his unique hair color and style. After making sure her guests were fine she went over to him, giving him the same warm smile she gave everyone else.
"Hey, when did you get here?" she asked, looking over the bottle of wine he had.
"White tonight? What's the occasion?" was he celebrating something or did he simply want to change up his routine?

[It was time for summer vacation. At least, for everyone else it was. Ryou's parents had gone on an extended business trip overseas, and her friends were also off doing their own things out of town, so she was spending the summer alone. How tragic.]
[Instead of being cooped up in a big empty house, Ryou had decided to go outside today. It wasn't too hot or muggy outside, so she wanted to go to the park and read a little bit on her own.]

Fantasy: A keen, intelligent wizard. Hershel has always been a gifted magic-user, and while he isn't exactly old yet, he knows that he isn't getting younger. He seeks an apprentice bright enough to retain his knowledge of the magical arts.
Horror: A ghost of the most polite and amicable sort, Hershel has been very much content and harmless since dying. His main concern seems to be the people frightened by his... well, lack of a physical body, rather then his own demise.

Short Description of Character: Let's be real, here, Okosan is an idiot. Even if his speed and athleticism is far above everyone else's, in his school, it's still a miracle he got in there in the first place. He has almost a cult-like obsession with "True Pudding" and will throw a tantrum at one mere look at anything he deems as "false pudding"... which is pretty much all pudding.
But beyond all of his stupidity and obsessions is a very chivalrous bird. If anyone defiles your honor, you better believe he'll be the first one on the scene to kick some ass. There's also a kind of purity to him that lends itself well to fluffier options.

As it happens, her spirit made contact with another spirit, Orion, causing her to lose her memories. She goes through the story to try and collect her lost memories. Not much is known about her current self and past self. She is shown to be shy, clumsy, and innocent. The heroine is known to 'space out' while she is in the process of collecting her thoughts as she tries to regain her lost memories. She tends to daydream a lot, and she is very soft-spoken. She works as a waitress in a maid cafe called Meido no Hitsuji and has a variety of interests, depending on which path she's on.
