[1] Someone strapped a sign on your character that tells the whole wide world what they're weak for, what gets them biting their lip, blushing, weak at the knees, all that. Whether it's a specific person's name or particular words/actions (calling her a good girl, touching his neck, kissing their forehead), there's no difference in the end. They're exposed either way.
[2] All that matters is everyone can see it.
[3] That's it.

I am glad we both have more than we hoped for. It is so abstract thinking about what life could have been, I am so happy that it is this.

I have an idea of what my life would be like and I much prefer this.

I think that is fair. I have no idea what my life would have been like. I had always thought something mercantile, but nothing prepared me for the wonderful life I have with you.

Speaking of the little one in question, have you thought about names? I know we have to be careful, but I would like to know what your thoughts are.

I... have not. Is is not too soon? We do not know what kind of names we will require.

I think that is just fine. Some people refrain because of mortality, but I know this one is strong, they remind me multiple times a day.

You have thought of it. What are your favourites?

Most of the names I enjoy are really on the nose. Chaysen, means hunter. Marin, means of the sea. Ronan is little seal. Fianna is warrior huntress. There is a theme here I think.

I would, not surprisingly, lean toward Valyrian names. Maelle, Gaelon, perhaps.

Those are beautiful names, I can see why you would lean toward them. I like Valarr an Laena as well, Valarian names have so much to offer.

Laena was my cousin. Vhagar's rider before me.

I had no idea, not the best association for you is it? I do not want to bring back anything that would cause you pain.

You would not know. Her funeral was the day I claimed Vhagar, and the day I lost my eye.

I understand why you would not revisit it, that sounds like a very unhappy memory. I am sorry.

The best and the worst. Still, it is a pretty name.

A few months still, I'm sure whatever name we choose will be very fitting. Something fitting for a kicking foal, they certainly enjoy the activity.

Not today, but here [she draws one of his hands to her abdomen] the babe is very active right now. It is a very strange feeling.
