[She relaxes and the smile returns.]

What are you going to show me?

[And she'll take up her watery form as she steps away from Usa.]

[She holds her hands out and concentrates, allowing water to form into a ball between them.]

[She steps back, admiring the water form.]

I don't have an element.

[Is she the 'heart' that made Captain Planet? Maybe. She's more hope than anything else, which is sort of a problem for her.

She reaches out to poke the water ball.]

[The ball would ripple at the touch, staying firm in its form]

[She stuck her whole finger into the ball.]

And how do I do that?

[And Usa can see her finger enter the ball easily, rippling further as its was penetrated.]

First of all, you need to calm yourself. Hold your hands out and close your eyes and focus. Look inside for the feeling that is just right and then pull it towards you.

[Her her a second. She's found a new toy. Poke, poke... multi-poke.]

Focus on what?

Try to focus on an element that feels familiar. Water, fire, wood, light, darkness... well, maybe not that one...

[She sighs and closes her eyes. This is silly. She can barely focus when studying how can she focus on something she doesn't know?

She stays quiet for a couple minutes until opening her eyes with a huff.]

Nothing's happening.

You're not trying hard enough. How about this - focus on something you like. Do the same thing, but focus on something that you enjoy.

[She scowls and takes a deep breath. Something she enjoys? She enjoys Marie. Baking. Sweets.]

Fine.

[Eyes closed, she tries again. Her brow furrows, seemingly frustrated at first. Then her face relaxes and there's a dim glow of a crescent moon upon her forehead.]

[She hated that snap, but it seems to have worked. She can see the glow of the crescent moon.]

[To be fair, had she tried this a couple years earlier, there would be dark energy crackling around her and something may have been damaged when she hit it. This is an improvement.

The moon shape gets brighter as she holds out her hands. A very faint orb takes shape, pure white in color.]

Look at that…

[She’s in awe at what Usa is pulling off. Light. She’s a light elemental.]

[The focus is short-lived. She's trying her best but it's rolling around like wet soap and she can't keep hold of it. After a few seconds of light it fades away and she opens her eyes.]

Did I do it?

Yes! It was so cool! Usa, it was light!

[She tilts her head, looking at her hands.]

Light?

[It makes sense, with how her and her mother's powers work.]

What can I do with light?

Purification and creation. It’s quite versatile.

Purification makes sense. That's... part of what my mother and I could do.

[She looks wistful, letting out a sigh.]

What would creation let me do?

You would be able to create and alter things to your liking. A greater scope more than I can.

You mean I can create cake?

[She considers this and other possibilities.]

You can turn into water. Can I turn into light? Change what I look like?

Yes, you can! Just about anything!

[She nods proudly.]
