[Oh crap, crying girl. He darts off into the bathroom and a few seconds later, the shower can be heard.]

-=He brushes by her quickly and she tries to hold her breath. A small smile plays on her face as she slowly makes her way to the sitting chair. She'll wait, nibbling on some crackers as she thinks about how this will all sort out.=-

[He scrubs himself clean and manages to resist using shower gel so that he can't smell of anything else to her. After he gets out, he towels himself dry and even manages to come out of the bathroom without gel in his hair. The clothes have been discarded in the hamper and he pulls on something clean and smell-free.]

[He shakes his head]

It isn't selfless. It's selfish. Other than Emma, I've not had a family. The people I worked with were my surrogate family instead. Now I am to be a father, I want to be there.

We both created it, I can't abandon it now.

Good! Because I want you here because you want to be here, not because you have to be.

It's not a good place. A baby should be welcomed by friends and family, not by strangers in masks and weird blue gowns.
