Why do you think I came to you to begin with? I didn't have an answer that wasn't something regurgitated from the cult.

Dates tend to happen -- well, out. [ Which he supposes at least one of them is, they don't co-habitate. ] However, what we do might be considered "dating" if the arrangement were more public. [ Which it is not. For good, work-related reasons. ]

[ Skulking around and specifically not being seen together puts a dampener on things. Though he can't shake off the feeling they may not be as subtle as they think they are. ]

It feels as though it is defined by all the things that it isn't.

I'd rather see it for what it is. Just because someone else hasn't invented a word for it doesn't mean it is unworthy.

My point is it's extremely different to what I've experienced up to this point. There isn't a whole lot of variation on offer in the temple.

Sometimes adding a little variety -- within reason, with a steady hand -- keeps the static things more special.
