[ His grin softens as he senses that smirk isn't as confident as it appears. ]

Of course. I am Zhou Zishu.

{He tries to regulate his heart with a deep breath.}

Zhou Zishu, I am Tantai Jin, the Emperor of Jing.

[ He dares to reach out to place a gentle hand over that racing heart, confirming his suspicion. Fingertips rub lightly but he says nothing about what it tells him. ]

You can rely on me.

{Being found out causes him to tense, ready for mockery or something worse. But there is nothing of the sort. Just...a light touch. His pallor recedes, healthy color returning, and he smiles.}

It's my duty to protect you.

[ Much better. He smiles warmly in answer. ]

I have made my choice and you have accepted me. I am not someone who casually or carelessly goes back on my word. You have nothing to fear from me.

We will see. {He grips Zishu's chin and brings their faces close.} This isn't the first time I have admired a man. But before...

It was jealousy. I wanted to be like them.

[ He doesn't flinch from the grip as he's brought close, only gazes into the other's eyes. ]

I've been an assassin. I doubt the Emperor of Jing needs to be jealous of such a thing as I.

...a thing? {He instantly frowns, his grip on Zishu's chin gentling.} Is that how you see yourself? I won't. I refuse.

[ His eyes widen just a little and his breath catches at the sudden gentleness. And that promise. Dropping his gaze, he smiles quietly. ]

...Ah. Then I have finally made the right choice.

{Tantai Jin hears the soft sound and caresses his thumb over Zishu's bottom lip.}

You need a good meal and some time to relax. Would you like to share my chambers with me or would you prefer chambers of your own?

[ The hand still on Tantai Jin's chest strokes over it again. Such a simple touch to his face, yet he feels warm. Already comfortable with this man. ]

I would prefer to share your chambers, unless you do not.

I would like your company. {Zishu is a beautiful man and Tantai Jin wants to see more. Much more.} Come with me.

{He takes hold of Zishu's hand and leads him down a corridor.}

[ He'll get to see all of Zishu very soon~ ] Then you will have it.

[ Threading their fingers together, Zishu walks beside the other. ]

{He takes Zishu to their chambers and closes the door behind them. With a graceful step backwards, he brings himself behind the other man. Sliding his hands over Zishu's shoulders, he murmurs:}

I suspect you are always armed.

[ He doesn't shy away as the other steps behind him. No, he's made his choice to trust. And he likes how those hands glide over him. ]

Aah. My sword is wrapped around my waist. I am also able to use whatever is around me.

[ In short? Zhou Zishu himself is his best weapon~ ]

{Tantai Jin's hands drop to Zishu's waist and he caresses, not precisely searching for a sword. He is curious about said weapon. Is it small...? Exceptionally slender?

Ah, it's wrapped around his waist! He embraces the other man from behind, smiling slowly.}

I will do my best to not startle you.

[ He chuckles, leaning back into the embrace and strokes over those strong arms that hold him. ]

Even if you did startle me, I suspect you can handle it.

[ He unsheathes Biayi to show the pretty blade to his husband-to-be. ]

{He chuckles deeply against Zishu's ear and steals a playful kiss to his jaw.}

I wouldn't want to hurt you.

{His eyes widen and he admires the blade. His arms stay around Zishu, however. He knows which of the two is his treasure.}

Will you show me how you use it?

[ Zishu turns his head at that playful kiss and chases those soft lips for a proper (if still playful) kiss! ]

I can handle a lot.

[ He smiles at the reaction - especially since Tantai Jin doesn't let go of him in favor of the sword - and resheathes it before smirking teasingly. ]

Is that the blade you really wish to see used right now?

{He isn't accustomed to kisses, so he accepts the soft touch, his eyes widening pleasantly. His lips tingle.}

I will be testing that.

{Tantai Jin is surprised into a laugh and he shakes his head.}

If I'm being honest, no. I really want to see you.

[ More kisses will follow~ Zishu grins at the promise. ]

I will do my best not to disappoint you.

[ And he loves that laugh! He tugs on the hands at his waist, encouraging them to find the various ties and belts that hold his robes closed. ]

Then you should see me.

You can't. {Tantai Jin finds the presence of mind to see to those ties, working on them one by one to loosen Zishu's robes.}

I'm much more likely to disappoint both of us.

{He isn't kidding, either.}

But I will do my best to take care of you.

I believe you can succeed if you wish to.

[ Heat curls around him as those fingers work, but the doubt has him claim another little kiss. ]

I promise the same. To do my best to take care of you.

My endeavors are cursed. I am meant to be miserable. {What better state for a god who wishes to annihilate the world? Tantai Jin frees Zishu of his outer robe and then leans into the kiss.}

I don't believe in fate.

[ His eyes narrow. ]

I accept that challenge.

[ Prepare to be smothered with affection and pleasure! Zishu lets his outer robe slip to the ground in favor of deepening the kiss, tongue licking at the god's lips for entry. ]
