Hot springs are considered rejuvenating in many cultures, from Asia to Europe. All that natural heat and the minerals from the earth flow through water and call throngs of people to come and enjoy the resorts that pop up around these wonders of the world. You, however, would never go to one. You're insecure about baring it all in public; maybe you don't even go out in public because your appearance would make the uncaring crowd lash out at you. Maybe it's just not your scene. You could not know anything about hot springs! But you're at one now, no matter what, and you're going to be taking a skinny dip - or near it - whether you like it or not. To make matters worse, you're sharing your little pool with someone else. Hey, you don't know them! This place could not even be in your world or your time. There's little options otherwise, though, so you might as well enjoy the time you're here. Soak and relax, let those tired muscles get a break. Soon, all your troubles, your worries, your ailments, your imperfections all begin to fade away...as do your misconceptions. You know this person, don't you? Yes, you do. Actually you know them very well. You're with them. You came with them, it seems to you, to reconnect, a lover's getaway. After all, what's more steamy than a hot springs? So go ahead, do what you've intended to do. No one will mind if you get a little frisky in the springs if it helps out your relationship; besides, what do you think some of the extra natural minerals are for? They'll certainly help you get hot under the collar, not that you'll need that. Your (new) mutual history should be enough. Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Include canon information and anything relevant to the meme, as well, if you'd like. All characters are welcome. Appropriate, inappropriate, serious, whatever. Reply to others. You can hash out your what your characters will eventually believe their shared history to be, or just put up a starter and play it by ear. Have fun!

"Wow," Skye's managed with the slightest bubble of laughter in that one word, an impressed expression fixing itself upon her features after a long beat. It's not often that someone really manages to really knock her off her game ( reading people, it comes as naturally as pattern recognition and analysis and C.S. comes to her, both of those things were what kept her mostly fed and clothed from the time she left St. Agnes to getting pulled out of her van and joining SHIELD ) and yet, here they are.

Where are they? A hot spring.

Normally they end up catching some down time between missions on the Bus, but with it needing fuel and some repairs and after the latest mission ( the first she's been allowed near since she got shot and everyone worked to save her life ) it meant they've needed to stop for the night ( or two ) and the rest of their team were off doing their own thing. What, she didn't know because when Skye found out there was some kind of hot spring near this place, she found herself bringing up a previous text conversation with Ward.

He said he considered skinny dipping fun and her plan was to call him out on it, see if he really meant that and boy, did he. She'd met him at the spring thinking she'd have to talk him into it, really up sell the whole thing ( she remembered reading something about the minerals or something in the water, not that she thought he'd really buy into it, being all practical or whatever ) but she didn't.

Instead she's looking at him in the water after briefly taking a moment to admire him sorta discretely while he undressed ( what, it's not like it's a secret that she finds Ward attractive and uses flirtatious humor with him when she can get away with it ) and realizes after a beat, probably after he's said something that she didn't quite catch, she's still standing there fully clothed.

Another beat, shorter this time and she's quickly undressing - first her plaid button down and the tank top she was wearing underneath it, then shimmying her jeans off a moment later - only pausing a little, wanting to cover herself for a split second, because with the wounds so recent she nearly forgets the scars that are now at her abdomen from when Ian Quinn shot her. Sure, Ward probably has his fair share of scars - he's been wounded a few times in the time since ending up on the Bus - but he's a fully fledged SHIELD agent. So, it goes with the territory where it's still new for her. Then she summons up that false unshakable bravado of hers and the mismatched bra and panties boldly follow a moment later before she's following suit in the spring as well.

"I gotta say, you are definitely full of surprises." Her impressed expression from earlier is now filtering in her tone, a sparkle of mirth and mischief in her dark eyes as she moved through the water in closer - not too close yet - to him. "I thought you were gonna back out or something."
