Comment with your character, preferences, preferred role, and any information you'd like to include.
Your character has either been injured/sick and had to be taken in (possibly against their will) or has been the one to help somebody like the former. Through the mending process, the two characters in a thread have fallen in love - or at least grown closer and more affectionate.
[ it hadn't been one of his better ideas, to go off by himself, deal with a werewolf case by himself, in hindsight. dean had been busy, so had the other hunters sam called, so he went himself, thinking it'd be quick.
the werewolf himself had been easy once he investigated the case and connected the dots. but in the ensuing fight, sam had managed to twist his knee, badly, had barely made it back to the motel he was camped out at. his injuries would be a little hard to explain at a hospital, so another option presented itself and he decided to give it a shot.
he could still ask dean or cas if rowena wouldn't pick up the phone. ]
Splitting up is never an ideal plan, but with funds running low it was decided that splitting up to enable them to take on twice as many hunts was the best course of action.
It was going fine until it wasn't. The hunt itself had gone fine - Noct and Prom had taken down their mark with relative ease and were on their way back when things went just a little wrong. If by 'wrong' one meant Prom was trying not to bleed out in the middle of nowhere.
The Imperial dropship had appeared out of seemingly nowhere. And they had things in hand until Prompto had seen the telltale red dot of a sniper on Noct's back and did the only logical thing he could think of in the moment - he'd run at Noct and shoved him out of the way, taking the bullet himself.
Adrenaline had kept him from feeling it until all the MTs were dealt with. Unfortunately, that adrenaline is fast wearing off.
How they made it back to the haven Prom will never know. They've made it back before Gladio and Ignis which is both a blessing and a curse. Great that he won't have to deal with a lecture for getting hurt. But it kinda sucks because Iggy and Gladio are much better at the whole first aid thing than they are.
( it feels like a minor miracle that they make it back to last light.
athénaïs spends most of the journey from moonrise's dungeons across the water kneeling in the bottom of the boat beside ea, painstakingly measuring healing potions to keep her stable long enough to get them where they need to be, aware of but not immediately interested in the question of which of their companions has taken over the responsibility of navigating them to the inn. someone does it, that's all that matters, and while she is briskly cooperative with the need for all of their prisoners to be checked for tadpoles,
she does nearly take a man's head off for not realising that ea is a tiefling he has already met and not one of the ones rescued from moonrise, and so some of the thanks for this latest heroic rescue are wordlessly tabled until — you know, after. downstairs, conversation quietly carries on, reunions, and upstairs, isobel offers the use of her room.
when ea comes to, athénaïs has truly made them at home in it. )
( 37 pouts, stomping her feet as she walks to the timekeeper to wrap thin fingers around her wrist. it's not unlike vertin to get herself into trouble like she does, for some reason, she walks straight into it like a bashee out of hell.
a broken wrist is no different from a broken neck, but that's where 37 holds onto in her vest efforts to try and snap vertin's bone back into place. these forms are too flimsy, too uneven, and nothing durable to prevent future accidents.
she's not sure if this hurts or not, but she is trying her best. )
