9. (name one) thinks they’re alone but (name two) comes out of nowhere to rescue them from someone who intends to do harm/making them uncomfortable.

[Malenia can handle herself. The undefeated demigod, one of the last standing after a war Friede can only imagine the divine furor of. The gods of Friede's world got along, mostly, once the eternal dragons were defeated. It was the humans that tended to bring war and suffering, among the other various races.

Londor, of course, had played no small role in some of those conflicts. They trained assassins and swordsmen; they knew combat.

All to say: Friede knows Malenia can handle herself.

And yet, to come upon the scene she does, to smell the rot of Malenia's blood on the air, to see the demigod sagging, lowering to a knee.

It boils something within her.

Malenia will be fine evaporates into the abyssal flames of Friede's black-hot rage. Rage which outwardly parses as a frigidity that even Ranni might pull her cloak closer against.

The din of combat is invaded by a new noise: The particular shhhhhhhck of a razor-sharp scythe slicing through earth and frost, as Friede propels herself forward, leaving a trail of icy crystals behind her.

The opponent barely evades in time, but there is one thing about scythes that only few seem to remember: They are hooked.

And Friede arcs her scythe to catch the opponent before they can bound away, grabbing the opponent with the curve of her blade, arcing herself around the same trajectory of the movement, until she comes to rest - lightly, elegantly, as though this is not an act of rage-fueled violence - behind the other.

Right before she crosses both scythes over their neck, plants a foot into their back, and rips backward, an executioner in form and function. They fall forward with the squelch of muscles, tendons ripping, of bone clinking off metal, the splash of blood falling upon the ground.

And just because Friede is feeling particularly vengeful, she swings her greatscythe down, skewering the decapitated head, and pinning it to the earth.

This one is hers. No one else can have her.]
