[ it isn't like he didn't expect to wake up somewhere strange. he can't be sober here, where too many memories lurk under bright lights and big tops, but luckily, Vegas makes that all kinds of easy. "you deserve to go fuckin' feral," he told himself like one of the daily affirmations his therapist keeps suggesting, and if that meant making shitty choices and spending the night in a gutter or a casino bathroom then, ya know, hey.

he doesn't come to in either of those, though. and it's also definitely not the cheap motel room he got with Moxxie off the strip. he's sure of that before he even forces his eyes open. it doesn't smell like weed and mold, for one. and despite the way his head feels like it might split open, he doesn't think he's ever been in a bed so comfortable. you could tell him he's on a fluffy cloud surrounded by stardust and held up by rainbows and he would believe you.

the man lying in bed next to him is also very much not Moxxie.

a lot of things click into place at the sight of him through Blitzø's bleary-eyed gaze. the whole picture may be a big blur, but he's gonna count this as a win, because a few details do stand out which are probably the most important, anyway.

one, this man had legs for days and his slender waist fit real nice in his hands.

two, the sounds he made when they made out in front of the Bellagio fountain show were sweeter than the accompanying music, and the flush of his cheeks was like a goddamn piece of art right there on his face.

and three, he was so far out of Blitzø's league that it wasn't even funny. if that wasn't obvious from the look of him, the suite they're in makes it all too clear. something this nice takes some serious dough.

he even feels out of place in the bathroom, all marble and sparkling, when he drags himself in there to piss. he's half-naked, jeans already open, and he kinda wishes he could remember fucking the guy, or whatever they did, but the fact that something happened is impressive enough for him. he can't rely on his body for too many clues with this bitch of a headache, but there is a...mild soreness at the back of his shoulder. he's expecting some bruising, bite marks, but as he tries to get a good look in the room's many mirrors, he realizes it's - yeah. yep. it's a tattoo. not his first time getting inked while drunk, and it looks like it's an owl? which isn't too bad. there's some writing he can't make out but it's probably fine. ( it definitely says "hooters", so. fine is questionable. ) if that's the biggest mistake he made last night, he can live with that.

when he reaches for the bathroom door and happens to see the very new, very heavy, very expensive band on his left hand's ring finger........he thinks that there miiiiiiight be a bigger one. ]
