[Hei wasn't a jealous guy. Well, he told himself that. He didn't really have a normal relationship with anyone before getting attached to Ruby. The mere thought of jealousy never even crossed his mind.
Until he noticed Ruby flirting with someone.
They had been out and about, playing the role of a couple. This had been common, Hei donning the identity of Li, someone who had been pleasant, cheerful, clumsy, and overall someone no one would expect was a world famous assassin. He acted the part well, even when he had taken up drinking, all to fool those and gather information. Today had just been meant to do that, gather any suspicious news, act on it later, and repeat until Hei was sure he could move on with the plan. And having two people only made things easier. Hell, now that Ruby and Hei grew closer, even helped save his life, things would be easier.
Then he saw her with another man, seemingly flirting with him.
Rather than break character, his right eye just twitched, even as he kept a straight smile. Inside was a different story, a raging storm of anger and envy driving his every action now. Screw it, he thought. They had enough info. No need for more of this, more of whatever she was doing.
And so, he had casually strolled his way towards her. In a swift motion, he hooked his arm around hers, tightly, all while keeping the act as "Li" with his usual friendly smile.]
