Ah, summer: sunny days, clear skies, and endless days of freedom (or at least, childhood memories thereof). It's also the perfect time of year for festivals! So grab a friend or a date, don your concert outfit or your traditional attire, and enjoy the season of fun in the sun!

[The last time Youko had gone to a festival had been in the last years of elementary school, when she still felt comfortable with her peers, before puberty and self-loathing truly set in. She had been wearing a yukata then too, but unlike then, this one was a choice and not an expectation. She also hadn't been nearly as happy to be wandering the temple grounds in summer twilight heat, but that definitely had more to do with her company than her outfit.

It's a little disgusting watching his father glad handing and strutting around the fairgrounds like he owns them. Unlike Beth, he doesn't care what he's got going on with the governor beyond the damper it's putting on his plans.

Of course, whenever he's greeted by people familiar with the Dutton name, he plasters on his politician's smile, tips his Stetson, and thanks them for supporting his father through slightly gritted teeth. Most don't seem to notice.

It's hot, he's sweaty, and he's thinking about faking a very important phone call to get away from the whole scene entirely when he overhears someone introduce himself nearby to a festival goer as...FBI? Well, shit. Could be nothing, could be trouble, but if he's not here, and this somehow involves his father? He may as well be one of the skeletons and bodies he's had to hide.

"Excuse me," he says, approaching with his best, well, shucks fella look. "Did I hear right? You're with the FBI?"

Well, he used to be one. And he doesn't say it outright, that he's FBI. He technically tells the potential witness that he's asking questions for the FBI. Ultimately, it'll be their jurisdiction, right?
