 THE FLOWER MEME 

your character is walking through a strange garden for some reason - don't the flowers smell lovely? or maybe they don't. strangely enough, whether you mean for them to or not, these flowers and plants seem to have something strange about them...something that's affecting you. 

leave a comment with your character's name and canon, as well as any preferences you may or may not have. 
repliers roll the RNG from 1-20, or pick a number below to decide how your character has been affected by the flowers! whether they are still at the garden, or whether the effects of the flowers have lasted on them throughout their day are up to you. 
whether both the tagger and the tag-ee would both like to roll is up to you both as well.

⑹ Marigold (Grief) ~whether it be new or old, you feel the need to grieve the loss of something or someone. 

⑺ Foxglove (Insincerity) ~you feel the need to lie, about everything. good and bad.

⑻ Aster (Love; daintiness) ~whoever it is you're with, you love them. your feelings are pure, though-- can't you just hold hands? kisses only have to be chaste, right? maybe you can go for a walk in the sunset, or see a movie?

⑼ Cyclamen (Resignation; goodbye) ~it's finally time for goodbye. you've known it for a while now, and you're finally going to say it.

⑽ Edelweiss (Daring) ~you're feeling daring today-- maybe you'll do a bit of singing, or finally confess? the possibilities are endless.

⑾ Ice Plant (Your looks freeze me) ~whoever this person is, they're making you tongue-tied and nervous. it's hard to express how you really feel.

⑿ Azalea (Fragile passion) ~you want them. but you also want to be careful- treating them like glass is on your mind.

⒀ Coriander (Lust) ~you want them and you don't care where or why-- you want to indulge.

⒁ Dahlia (Good taste; instability) ~they look perfect in every way; you don't want to share them with anyone else.

⒅ Oleander (Caution; beware) ~you're feeling a little...dangerous today. people would do well to stay away-- or maybe they'd like a little danger? either way you're not to eager to let them go any time soon.

⒆ Dandelion (Wishes come true) ~how'd this little weed get in here? it's nice to see something have such a will to live, even in the cracks of the cobblestone...maybe it'll share its good luck with you? you can have anything you'd like today! you can consider this the wild card option as well to pick anything you'd like from the list (or anything not on the list!).

⒇ Wait what? (???) ~did that plant...move? it seems pretty affectionate...

[It was a beautiful day, the two of them spending it by going to a flower garden. And since it was early afternoon in the middle of the week, they had the place practically to themselves. Chris was taking advantage of this, going without any disguise of his less-than-human self.

Stopping near a little grouping of pink flowers he inhaled deeply, closing his eyes. They smelled wonderful; one of his favorite things about coming to places like this.

Turning to look at Fluttershy, he watched her as she explored the flowers. He really was lucky to have her, wasn't he? Though he didn't really say it often, something he should probably fix.

....Well, go on. Fix it, Chris.

[Fluttershy walked slowly along the path, taking in all the colors and scents of the flowers. It was all absolutely beautiful...she simply loved coming to these kinds of places.

Turning back towards Chris who had fallen a bit behind, she gave him one of her biggest, brightest smiles.]

[Chris hitched up a smile, hoping that the distance between them was enough to hide the nervousness of the grin.]

[She's still smiling, but there's a bit of a curious tilt to it as she looks at him]

Are you all right...? You've been...pretty quiet today...

[beingthecreature]

Yeah, I'm alright. [He cleared his throat and walked to catch up with her.] Just... thinking, is all.

Oh...? [She gently takes his hand so they can walk together.] Thinking about what...?

[beingthecreature]

[A jolt goes up his arm at her touch and he swallows thickly, then attempts a smile.]

Just... uh. This and that. Us.

[strengthinkindness]

[She glances at him curiously.] What about us...?

[beingthecreature]

Just... how far we've come. Where we might e-end up in... a few years. Stuff like that.

[strengthinkindness]

Oh... [She smiles, but still looks a little curious.] What brought this on all of a sudden?

[beingthecreature]

[There's that nervousness back.]

Nuh- ah, no. No reason. Just... thinkin'.

[strengthinkindness]

Okay... [She turns to look at him again.] Are you sure you're all right? You seem a little...fidgety...

[beingthecreature]

I'm okay, don't worry about it. [He smiles.] I'm fine.

[strengthinkindness]

[She nods, though still looks a little worried.] If you're sure...

[beingthecreature]

I'm... I'm sure.

[strengthinkindness]

[Silent for a moment, she then reaches up and gently kisses his cheek.] All right...

[beingthecreature]

[He smiles in return, then walks alongside her in silence.

As he goes his free hand slips into his pocket, fingering a small little item he was hiding in there, and he bit back another sigh.

Glancing up, he pauses and scans the area, then gives Fluttershy a little tug with a smile, toward a circular path ringed by roses.] C'mon, this way.

[She blinks, letting him lead her as she follows behind him.] Chris, what - ?

[beingthecreature]

Trust me. [He gave her a bright smile over his shoulder.]

[strengthinkindness]

[She blinks at him for a moment, but the smile comes quickly enough.] Always...

[beingthecreature]

[A little nervous tweak to that smile but then it softens to fondness, and he lightly tugs her along.

Reaching the center of the path he glances around, then stops Fluttershy in front of him, grabbing her hands.]

It's pretty here, isn't it?

[strengthinkindness]

[She nods, squeezing his hands gently as she looks around. There's an eager look to her smile.]

It's beautiful...

[beingthecreature]

Yeah... [Looking at her, he released one hand to stroke her cheek, tucking a little hair behind her ear. Funny, staring into her eyes like this, all that nervousness was gone. Dried up, replaced by nothing but a rush of love for her.]

Not as much as you.
