the floor is LAVA ] [ aka just share the bed with me meme

Just share the bed with me.
For whatever reason, the floor is unacceptable as a place to sleep. It's messy, the dog is there, THE FLOOR IS LAVA, or maybe there's flooding. Who cares why it's not acceptable, it just isn't. Normally, that's not an issue, but tonight you have a friend over. Maybe it's the safest place, maybe it's hurricane season and your house is the only one out of the path of the storm. Stop trying to figure out the details, just get over it and share the bed with that person! Sexy times are not required. Intimacy is not required. Just share the damn bed already.
Do you need options? Here! Have some options!
1. It's late. You're tired. Too tired to drive and THE FLOOR IS LAVA.
2. It's late. You're drunk. Too drunk. Honestly, how did you drink that much and not die? Should we take you to the hospital? Here, just stay in this bed with me. No, you can't sleep on the floor. THE FLOOR IS LAVA.
3. It's early. You thought you'd just come by and visit but you can barely function. The bed seems inviting. Guess what, you're invited into the bed! Yes. The bed. Not the floor. THE FLOOR IS LAVA.
4. DO YOU LIKE TO SPOON? SPOONING IS OKAY. And yes, the floor is lava.
5. Figure out a reason why you need to share the bed.
6. The Crack Fun Insane Option - Actually Play the Floor is Lava Game!! Move about the room without touching the floor... because the floor is lava.
Do you really need options? I feel like everyone gets the idea of this meme.

Since when do angels need to sleep?
And he's stumbling back 'home', the most current crap motel they are crashing at, kicking off his boots at the door and beelining it for that comfy looking bed.
Laying in bed is fun, though!
"Havin' fun?"

"Son of a bitch," he muttered, "What the hell're you doing here?"

But that would require energy he didn't have. "Party's already happened. At Miss Candice's Pussy Cat Club. You missed out, Gabriel."

"Doesn't like strip clubs for some reason. He's off somewhere hunting a wendigo. Or something like that. Probably eating kale and singing kumbaya at a camp fire. Communing with nature."

With Gabriel.
.... This is awkward.]

[It's weird, because Gabriel is a freakin' arch-angel and he can't do anything about the lava. The whole incident smacks of Bad Things, all 'round, but Gabriel isn't going to say a word about that. Not yet. It could be worse. There could not be a bed at all, and just lava that they can't do anything about.]
Nice to see you, too, little bro.

I don't like being ... grounded.
[for lack of a better word.]

stupidjoke.]Who does? It's all stay in your room this, do your homework that. You never get grounded with any hot chicks.
[Just your brother.]
Come on. Cheer up, Charlie.

What would you suggest we do?
no subject
[He thinks, leaning back on the bed to consider.]
Ever played poker? You'd have a great face for it. Though I guess we gotta work on your deception skills first.
no subject
I have never played. But that doesn't mean I can't learn.
no subject
[It's just a light-hearted joke, because part of him wonders if the youngest angels would get it at all, and Gabriel smiles.]
No better time to learn. Although eventually the lava will light the bed on fire. Should be interesting.

So he'd gone and gotten a second room with only one bed because they were bigger. Though it still wasn't quite big enough and his feet still hung slightly over the edge, but oh well! He was comfortable and he was warm.
And he also felt someone or something pressed against his back. Okay he hadn't been asleep for that long and he also hadn't had anyone in the room with him when he fell asleep. He sighed, slipping his hand beneath his pillow, gripping the knife he'd hidden there when he'd gone to bed.

"Woah, kiddo. I'm not in the mood to patch any leaks, okay?" the archangel mused. He was, naturally, drunk, which had taken a lot of effort. And he'd just barely remembered how to get to a bed. It was Sam's, but it was also now kind of Gabriel's. "It's me. And you shoulda sprung for something bigger."
no subject
The look he gave Gabriel was bleary and half hearted at best. "This was the biggest the hotel had. If I were in the room with Dean it would be half this size." He shifted, closing his eyes. "At least all your body fits." He grumbled before throwing his arm over his eyes.
God, kill him now. Please?
no subject
"And, uh." He paused. "Which state're we in?"
no subject
"We haven't done anything. Just been doing routine shit lately. Why are you concerned?" He leaned closer, smirking before shoving him lightly. "We're in Missouri. Branson to be exact. Dean wanted to have some fun since we seem to be case free...at least for a few days."

"So...why are you really here cuddled up next to me?" He stretched, glancing down at the end of the bed and glaring for a long moment. One of these days he would find a hotel with a bed that was big enough for him.
Right now he was stuck in this one with a drunk archangel who he may or may not like a lot more than he let on. Even if said drunk archangel annoyed the hell out of him most of the time. "How much have you had to drink?"
no subject
Gabriel gave a small shrug. He rambled when he was this drunk.
"A lot. Lost count. I don't have to breath, you know? Makes things a lot faster."
