For all your angsty needs.

Hurt/Comfort - Hurt/comfort is a fan fiction genre that involves the physical pain or emotional distress of one character, who is cared for by another character. The injury, sickness or other kind of hurt allows an exploration of the characters and their relationship.
- Others respond.
- Roll 1-10 at RNG for a scene, play it out and have fun!
1. INJURY. You've been injured. Broken bones or bleeding out or maybe just a tiny little papercut. The choice is yours.
2. SICKNESS. You're sick and laid up in bed, at home or in a hospital. The severity is up to you.
3. FEAR/ANXIETY. Something is happening and you're scared beyond belief.
4. LOSS OF SENSES. Sight, touch, taste, hearing, smell, etc. You've lost some important sense or ability and now you're left to deal with it.
5. DESPAIR. Nothing is good or right anymore and you can't shake the depression. Maybe that friend of yours can help though...
6. BREAKUP. You've been dumped. You need someone to comfort you, possibly by the one who dumped you.
7. MAKE UP. Fight or break up, it's time to makeup.
8. RESCUED. You've just been held captive and/or tortured for however long and finally, someone has come to the rescue.
9. BAD ROMANCE. Fight, cheated on, abused, whatever the case is, someone else can clearly see you need comfort from someone who isn't your terrible lover tonight.
10. LOSS. You've experience a loss of some kind and need help getting through it.
11. INSANITY. You're seeing things that aren't really there, hearing voices, or you're just convinced you're at your wit's end finally and you're going to crack. Maybe someone can give you a helping hand.
12. TIRED. You've had a heard life recently and you're just worn too thin to really care anymore. There's no fight left in you anymore. Can someone help change your mind?
13. ADDICTION. Drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, or any other type of addiction has got you in its grasp. First time or relapse. Will someone be able to save you?
14. INSOMNIA. You can't sleep anymore, no matter how hard you try. Maybe someone can give you company.
15. NIGHTMARES. Or, on the other end of the spectrum, you can't sleep without gruesome, horrible nightmares. Either someone is stuck in your dream with you, witnessing it or they're just waking you up, soothing you out of it.
16. BLACKMAIL. You've been caught doing something you shouldn't and you were blackmailed because of it
17. SEPARATION. You're going to be separated for awhile or were separated for a long time. Either make up for lost time or try to spend every last moment together.
18. VIOLATED. You've been violated in some way. Can include sexual overtones or not. Can someone help you through it?
19. STRANDED. You've been stranded somewhere remote, with no help of anyone finding you for awhile. Can you survive this together?
20. SINS. You're feeling the weight of your sins and guilt clearer than ever. Can someone give you absolution or lessen the ache any?
21. SECRET. It's difficult having to keep that secret of yours, be it a relationship or something you just don't want to share with anybody else. Maybe it's okay to talk about it now though...
22. ADDITION. Babies should be joyous things unless you're in a situation where you know you won't be able to care for them. Either you've adopted or found out you're pregnant.
Balthazar/Supernatural/Open
4 BLINDNESS
In reality, he's just been lying in the bathtub in the bathroom attached to their bedroom all day. He can't get out - he doesn't really see the point, right now. Literally and figuratively.]
<3
He'll ask what the archangel thinks, later.
When he gets home, he thinks at first that Gabriel's gone out, too, but after he's had a couple sips of bourbon, he realizes that he can feel the pulse of the other angel's Grace.
It's not normal for Gabe to be so quiet so long. Worried, he seeks him out, finding him at last, in the bathtub.] Gabriel? Is something wrong?
<333!
When Balthazar comes in, he'll see the other angel lying in the tub. He's pruned, almost like he's been in there all day. He shakes his head no. Balthazar shouldn't have to worry about it.]
Yeah, but I'll get over it.

no subject
Nah, baby. I'm good in here. You can bring them to me if you want, though. I'd like that.
[He hasn't opened his eyes once.]
no subject
Wait, why are Gabe's eyes closed?] I'd be delighted, love, but if you're going to spend the rest of the day in there, let me heat up the water for you a bit?
this is becoming a pattern
[His lips quirk up into a smile again, just for a second, and he gives Balthazar's hand a very light squeeze.]
I'd...like that, yeah.
[What he fails to mention is that he's only letting Balthazar do it because he can't see where the knobs are. Getting into the tub was a project and a half, and he actually bruised his vessel's tailbone in the process. He could heal it himself, yeah, but he's too pissed off that all this happened to do that right now. The pain in his lower back's part of the reason he hasn't moved - it's also because he really doesn't want to slip again.]
no subject
He squeezes Gabriel's hand in return and leans forward to turn on the hot water, testing it with his fingertips.]
Right. So, when are you going to tell me what's happened? Because you're acting decidedly odd.
no subject
[This time, the smile that keeps fading is much more real, and stays for quite a bit longer than before. His fingers don't leave Balthazar's hand for a second. He can feel the younger angel's Grace thrumming away in the atmosphere of the room, yeah, but there was something much more grounding and comforting about actual physical contact of their vessels. He'd always assumed this was what it was like for humans, too.]
I can't see shit. Some assholes trapped me in a curse circle today, and I don't even know how the fuck they managed to curse an archangel, but now I'm fucking blind.
[Unhappy is an understatement for how Gabriel sounds. It's more like failure, than anything. He was an archangel, one of the first of all of the rest and supposedly one of the strongest. To be trapped by a stupid circle...well, it definitely was a big blow to his ego, to his whole psyche, really. And the fact that it was blindness didn't help, since Gabriel was a pretty damn visual person.]
no subject
If Gabriel could see his expression as he listens to the explanation, he'd be impressed by the very genuine fury that glints in his eyes. How dare anyone raise a hand to the archangel? His archangel.
Revenge isn't the appropriate response right now, though. The first priority is to fix the damage.] Gabe...I'm so sorry I wasn't here. We'll figure out how to unravel the curse, I promise.
no subject
[And he doesn't intend to, either. He hadn't known he needed all the love that Balthazar gives him on a daily basis until he'd gotten it for the first time, and he certainly didn't know he had so much to give in return, either. It was funny how things worked out sometimes.]
Nah, man. I was the one who was out. It was this morning. Don't feel bad, it's not you.
...you got any ideas, though?
no subject
Quietly, he turns off the water, then slides a little closer to put an arm around Gabriel.] Were they witches, or something else? Any spell can be tricked, if it can't be undone. We just have to think about it.
no subject
Of course, he'd do all those things if he could actually see the ofanim. He feels his arm slide around his shoulders and curls in towards it, wrapping both of his arms around Balthazar's. Occasionally, Gabe has the tendency to imitate an overgrown starfish.]
Witches! It's always fucking witches lately. You'd think after thousands of years I'd be unable to lose my touch, but I guess there's a first time for everything.
no subject
Under other circumstances, Gabriel's decision to cling to him like a limpet would make him laugh, or at least smile and ruffle his hair. Right now, though, he's all concern and desire to fix everything.]
Humans, witches included, have a tendency to improve their capabilities over time. But we have much longer than them. There's nothing they've done that we can't undo, if we try.
no subject
Yeah, I know that. It's just pretty damn disheartening when they manage to outsmart you when you've been around longer than them.
Maybe we'll just have to wait this shit out.
no subject
[Angels are harder to heal than humans, even in corporeal vessels, but there've been plenty of times Balthazar had to do triage for his brothers on the battlefield.]
no subject
[He shrugs. He really feels kind of bad that Balth can't do anything, but as far as he's concerned, he just has to ride it out. He can't think of anything, anyway.
He does get an idea, though.]
You wanna come in here and keep me company, though? I'd like that.
[He's not in the mood for anything but comfort right now.]
no subject
[He gives him a light kiss on the cheek, and pops out of the room with a flutter of wings, returning a split second later with cordial cherries and a bottle of bourbon. And no clothes, but Gabriel can't see that part.
Setting things within reach, on the floor, he touches the archangel's shoulder again.] Facing you, or behind you?
no subject
Good boy.
[He really doesn't mean that to be attractive in any way for Balthazar at this point. It's just become reflex to say that to him by now.
When the other angel returns, he thinks for a second, actually scratching his chin at that point.]
Behind.
[What can he say? Being spooned is always comforting.]
no subject
He's grinning when he returns with the supplies, riding the wave of subtle praise.] Good choice. That's my preference, as well.
[He sits on the edge of the tub, shivering at the cold porcelain on sensitive skin, and guides Gabriel a couple inches forward so he can slip in with him.]
no subject
[He scoots up a few inches to allow Balthazar to slip into the tub behind him, relaxing against his chest, his eyes still closed.]
And I'm smaller than you anyway, so it's easier for me.
no subject
Only by a couple inches. I admit, I sort of enjoy it, though.
no subject
And why's that?
no subject
Because you're so much, you sometimes make me feel small. I like the flip side. Makes me feel like I can protect you, too.
[Okay, that was pretty sappy, but he's worried about Gabriel right now.]
