Y'know, there were probably better ways I could've introduced myself, but hey, it wasn't all bad. [She smiles wider at that, shrugging slightly.] Well, it's Bryonny, but that's kinda big, so I've been Bree since I was a kid.

Maybe not the watching part, but the admitting it out loud part - that's a bit nerve-wracking. No point in not being honest though, right? [Hair in face? Check. Covering pink cheeks? Check. That actually wasn't all that bad ... yet.]

I guess honesty is a good attribute to have. No one can be one hundred percent honest, though.

That's true - you'd just end up with a lot of offended people. Plus, I'm a writer, so I have to take creative liberty where I can.

Yes, of course, and that. It's really the only acceptable reason to lie, anyway, in my opinion. [She nods, smiling wider] Yes, actually. My first novel got published right after I graduated high school. I've been attempting to write a follow-up ever since, but ... writer's block is a bitch.

I agree, it's the only reason to lie. [He smiled back at her.] Really, right after high school? That's huge, I bet your family is proud. And don't be too worried about writer's block, I heard it goes away eventually. I don't know for sure though, I'm not a writer.

They're pretty proud, yeah, which is great. This is pretty much all I've ever wanted to be, you know? I know the words will come, but it's pretty hard with an agent and an editor breathing down my neck and ... sorry, I don't mean to vent. What is it that you do?

No, no. It's okay, you can vent I don't mind. [He gave her a sincere smile before it slowly faded at her question.] I do a little of this, little of that. Basically a freelancer.
