"Hey, can we talk?" she asked, coming into the living room and taking a seat on the couch, looking nervous.

"Sure," he said slowly as he set his book aside. "What's up?"

She looked down at her hands, wringing them.

"I..." she stopped and frowned. "This is...I don't know how to say this."

She sighed.

"Just say it, Ariadne," he said insistently.

She looked up at him.

"You know how I haven't been feeling well?" she started, after swallowing around a large lump in her throat.

"Yeah..." He trailed off. "Are you sick? What's wrong?"

"No..I'm fine," she said. "I'm just...."

It was so hard to say the words.

"Pregnant."

[point_forgotten]

"What?"

[inyourdreams]

"I'm pregnant," she said again. "I don't know how. I...we took all the precautions. I don't..."

She shook her head, tears springing into her eyes.

"Hey, no, no, it's okay," he quickly pulled her into his arms.

She put her arms around him, burying her face in his shoulder.

"No, it's not," she said. "We can't have a baby."

Arthur couldn't be a father, not in his condition. "We'll...figure out something."

"Figure something out?! There's only two options Arthur. Well, three I guess," she said.

"What do you want to do?" He asked.

[inyourdreams]

"I don't know," she said, sitting back from him.

[point_forgotten]

"Okay," he said with a nod. He didn't know what to do either.

"I need to know what you're feeling about this, Arthur," she said. "I need your input."

"I'm not fit to be a dad...at least not right now," he said honestly.

She nodded.

"So...where does that leave us?"

[inyourdreams]

"I guess I could..." she swallowed. She couldn't even say it.

He immediately shook his head. "No, not that. I'd rather keep the baby than that."

[inyourdreams]

"Then the only other options is putting it up for adoption," she said. SHe wasn't sure she'd be able to do that. Not after carrying it for 9 months. It wasn't like she was some teenager or couldn't afford to care for a child.

"I think we should keep it," he said after a moment.
