If there was one place she hated it was Wolfram and Hart, something about the building just set her on edge every single time she entered it. Tonight was of course no different the only added factor was Lindsey and how pissed off she was at him and had been for the entire week, though she would try to push that anger aside long enough to dump off his meal since he was working late.

Moving down the hallway with the Chinese bag clutched in her hand she let a low groan leave her lips while moving past several closed doors before letting herself into his office without knocking, she honestly saw no need and if he was busy well so be it. Once she was in she allowed the door to close behind her rather loudly while she moved to his desk to toss the bag down.

"Here." Sweet, simple and to the point.

Considering the last conversation he had with Charisa had ended in declarations that suggested she never wanted to see him again for the next lifetime, Lindsey was actually very surprised to find her here, in his office, delivering dinner. The wonderful smell of take-out grease very quickly saturated his room.

He looked up from the mess of files strewn over his desk to the plastic bag with some Chinese lettering stamped into its side in red, then upwards from the bag to the face of the person who delivered his dinner.

Keeping his gaze evenly there, he commented briefly, "I had wanted Italian tonight."

Arms came to fold over her chest while she pulled her lips into a thin, even line. She knew Lindsey well enough to know that an apology would only came from his lips when hell froze over, hell even then she wasn't terribly sure about that.

"Well, I wanted Chinese and I wasn't making two stops," she pointed out. She had been called to bring him dinner. Nobody had mentioned Italian to her. "You want Italian so bad you can get off your ass and go get it yourself."

Yanking the bag off his desk she spun around and made her way toward the door.

There were actually hell dimensions that were frozen over, not that it was a point worth arguing at the moment. The problem was Lindsey was hungry and he wasn't going to let that dinner walk out again.

"Hey, wait," he said, trying to figure out a way to get his dinner back while keeping his pride. It was probably why he looked back to the work he was doing and said haughtily, "Chinese will do. You can leave it behind."

She had just gotten to the door, her long strides on purpose so she could make a quick and clean get away. The moment Lindsey spoke however she stopped and slammed her hand against the door in slight annoyance.

"Fine," she mumbled the reply before turning around and striding back over toward his desk. This time however she was nice enough to clear a small place among the papers before she set it down so nothing important got ruined.

Charisa wasn't sure if she could do the small talk now, her nostrils flared the longer she stood on the other side of his desk. Tucking hands away into the pockets on her leather jacket she took a step back and made to turn to try and leave again.

Lindsey glanced up briefly when she returned and set his dinner down. Things were obviously still very tense between them, especially with how the tension seemed to roll off her like waves and into him by his desk.

When he continued working and didn't speak up, she looked like she as going to leave again. That was when he did, a simple word, "Thanks." He could be appreciative as long as they didn't try getting into another argument again.

Now that was something she wasn't expecting, she was just expecting silence as she strolled out the door so of course when he said 'thanks it caused her to stop. A hand came to rest against the wooden door while her jacket fell off her shoulders.

Charisa couldn't help but feel that perhaps Lindsey was up to something, then again he could just be grateful he was getting his dinner for the night. A small smile touched her lips as she glanced over her shoulder to him. "Yeah."

Finally looking away from his file, Lindsey looked at where Charisa stood at the doorway. He didn't want to leave it at that, but brilliant defense attorney that he was, he was at a loss of words as to what to say. He wasn't going to back down from his stance in the argument, and neither was she.

"Can you bring Italian next time?"

She puffed her cheeks out at his question, but instead of getting snippy she turned around to press her back against the door and offered a faint smile. She knew Lindsey nor her would back down, believe they were both right when they both could be wrong.

"Sure, but next time you're working late you call and ask me don't have some lackey do it."

"Miranda's my secretary," Lindsey answered with a bemused scoff, personally finding Charisa's reason for being upset entertaining. "I was busy at the time and she was available to call."

The point was: they were talking.

Taking that to mean their argument was over, he glanced at his take out then back to his girlfriend at the door. "Have you eaten yet?"

It wasn't so much the secretary calling her that had upset her but, it added a bit of annoyance to the situation.

"I actually stashed my own down in the car, but if you're asking me to stay and eat with you I wouldn't say no."

Pushing off from the door, Charisa lets a hand linger on the knob letting her fingers fiddle with the lock before she wanders over to the desk while peeling her jacket off.

"Did you just lock my door?" Amused, Lindsey motioned for her to take the client chair with a wave of his hand. "Who do you expect will be bothering us so late at night?"

Cleaning up the papers on his desk into respectable piles, he cleared up an area where so he could set out the food. His desk was small and space was cramped, but it was sizable enough that hopefully things won't splash.

Sliding fingers through her hair she watched as he began to take food from the bag. "I get it right this time?" It was a stupid question, she could pick out anything, in any restaurant in town for Lindsey and it was either his favorite or something her enjoyed.

It wasn't a funny matter, downright annoying when it happened, but Lindsey laughed anyway because this was his girlfriend learning. "I don't have any appointments scheduled tonight." Although, demons tended to make their own schedules.

He opened the soup and took a spoonful. "You did," he confirmed proudly. Not that he really had any doubt when it was Charisa doing the buying for him, assuming she was no longer angry at him. This proved it.

"You want to get your stuff downstairs and join me? I can tell the security you're coming through and let you back up."

She stood from the chair and moved around his desk, eyes locking upon the night sky through the clean window. Her brow arching slightly at the mention of no appointments but, she didn't need to tell him that demons tended not to care.

"I was actually going to save it for later, perhaps when I got home," she told him while turning around and moving behind his chair.

Hands sliding over his shoulders and down his chest while her head comes to rest upon his shoulder with a smile. "Missed you," she spoke softly her lips touching the soft skin of his neck.

Feeling her hands slide over him helped him release some of the tension that built up over the course of his workday. He tilted his head slightly and smiled back at her even though she would only be able to catch his profile at the most.

"I missed you too." It was tantamount to an apology coming from the both of them like that.

"If you don't want to go down, share some of my stuff. I won't have time to finish all of it anyway." He still had a lot of prep work to do for his new case.

Her hands came to rest upon his chest while she stayed positioned behind his chair, she could feel some of his tensions release at her touch. In honestly she wasn't expecting him to say he had missed her as well, so when he did her smile seemed to widen slightly.

"You sure?" She pressed her lips just under his ear and trailed the kisses down his neck until the collar of his shirt got in her way.

Seemed suddenly dinner was the last thing on Charisa's mind.

Unfortunately, Lindsey could not afford to indulge in more than a soft kiss, which he stole for himself when he turned and reached up with a hand. Placing it by the side of her face, he guided Charisa's lips back up to meet his briefly before he looked up and smiled apologetic up at her.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I need to prepare the rest of this case and... I won't be able to finish a large meal like that." Or have time to take this where he wanted it to either, his eyes seem to say.

Gently, she allowed herself to lean into his touch once his hand came up by the side of her face. Once Lindsey broke the soft kiss he had brought her into and she saw the smile a faint one of her own touched her lips. Charisa knew that smile too well.

"Alright." She didn't mean to have a hint of displeasure in her voice but, it was there. Kissing his cheek she moved back around the table and flopped down in the client seat.

His next smile contained more mirth. Lindsey didn't thank her for understanding, but it was implied when he opened the take out box and gave her a portion of his dinner.

"Let's eat this before it gets cold." He pushed right on past the displeasure, he was getting good with sidelining things like that, especially when it came from those seated in that seat.

She allowed herself to relax as best she could while Lindsey allowed her a portion of his dinner. Risa didn't say anything instead she just went ahead and began to eat, a sigh passing through her lips slightly while she fiddled with her food.

The sooner she finished the quicker she could leave, not that she wanted to but he had made is rather apparent he was busy. The idea that had popped into her head deflated when he brought that up.

Lindsey hadn't imagined they would be eating in silence but that was what they ended up doing. He could sense that something bothered her, but not wishing to get into this here, now, he made the poor choice and left it be.

He had work to do after all, lots of it. Good impressions were important as he strove to climb upwards, and that meant being willing to put in the hours and burning the midnight oil. Some things had to be sacrificed.

Normally, she wasn't bothered by the late nights that he worked the time he put into the office. Yet, it was the fact he had brushed off her advance something he had never done before.

Risa ate in silence feeling it was almost a dumb thing to be upset about, but the longer she thought about it the more she saw this wouldn't be the first nor the last time. Swallowing down a bite of her food she cleared her throat. "I should get going, you have a lot of work to do."

Indeed that would be the case as more responsibilities got heaped onto Lindsey's shoulders now that he had garnered the attention of the higher ups. He was on his way up, he knew it.

"Yeah, I'm afraid I do..." He looked up eating when he realized that he had been ignoring Charisa while getting lost in thought about a case. Wiping his mouth, he then reached for her hand and tried to smile at her.

"I've just been so busy lately... Thanks for bringing me dinner."

She almost thought better of letting him take her hand, but she allowed the brief contact while offering Lindsey a faint smile. The brunette gave his hand a soft squeeze before moving to get up.

"Anytime."
