I think you have the wrong number.

[But he's curious and he's taking a break from training, so--]

What are you having trouble with?
chiseler: (ain't it beautiful? so unusual)

Texting the right people seems to be at the top of the list. Sorry about that.

[Sort of.]

Before we even get into that, do you always give Adulting 101 classes to strangers?

That's OK! I've sent messages to the wrong people before, too. It happens to everyone.

Sometimes.
[Somehow, the next few words radiate guilt, even through text.] I might be procrastinating on something.
chiseler: (you're getting better all the time)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-10 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[...snort. Yuuri can't see it, but Luke's definitely smirking at this point.]

I'm an expert procrastinator (which is probably half of my problem?) but tell you what. You tell me what you're procrastinating on, I'll tell you why I suck at being an adult and give you a reason to keep procrastinating

[The misfire was a surprise in the first place, but the fact that he's actually having a little fun talking to a complete stranger is the most unexpected part of all this. The timing had been perfect, too. With Phichit busy with classes for the day and his own family probably asleep in Japan, Yuuri would have been left to his own thoughts if he hadn't gotten the text.]

I think you might be right. [Was that actually a joke? Maybe.]

I think that's a pretty fair deal. I'm supposed to meet up with someone, but I've been putting it off for a couple days already. I haven't even sent her an email yet.
chiseler: (ain't it strange?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-10 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a first time for everything.

"Her"? So...you're avoiding a date? Breaking up with someone? Apologizing to somebody you pissed off? I've done all of those, but never via email.

[personal profile] yokunaru 2017-03-10 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
No of course not!! Doing any of those through email would be terrible. [Terrible, but tempting, to be honest.]

She's a student at the nearby conservatory. She helped me with something recently, but it doesn't look like it will work out after all.
chiseler: (breaking in a sweat)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-10 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Terrible, sure, but you'd be surprised how many people go with it. [Still sounds like a date, Yuuri, but okay.]

If it's not going to work out wouldn't it be easier just to get it over with? But I guess it depends on what it is.

[personal profile] yokunaru 2017-03-10 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe not so surprised.

She composed a song for me. I was going to use it for something, but my coach doesn't think it's a good idea. I don't know how to tell her yet. I feel bad that she spent so much time on something I won't even be using.
chiseler: (sets off an unsuspecting herd)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-10 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhh you're one of those people who doesn't want to hurt people's feelings no matter what. Okay, I get it. Why not just blame your coach? It WAS your coach's idea not to use it wasn't it?
yokunaru: (33)

[personal profile] yokunaru 2017-03-10 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that a bad thing?

Somehow that doesn't feel right either, but I'll think about it. I do want to tell her soon.

OK now it's your turn.

[Smoothest attempt to change the subject ever, right???]
chiseler: (ain't it strange?)

[personal profile] chiseler 2017-03-10 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
No, but sometimes it gets you stuck in situations like this. I don't see why pinning the blame on someone who's forcing your hand is such a bad thing. The longer you ignore it the worst it's going to be anyway.

But maybe that's why I'm a bad adult. I blame other people even when it's their fault and they just say it's not. That and I'm pretty sure I lost my wallet somewhere between my apartment and 7-11 and it's maybe a five minute walk. How does that even happen?

I guess it's because I know my coach is looking out for me, too. [Why is caring about people so complicated?]

That sounds pretty specific. I'm sensing there's a story in there somewhere.

Oh that's bad luck (。•́︿•̀。) If you were in the area, I could help you look. Actually, what area ARE you in?
