The Sick Bed Meme

For whatever reason, your character is now bedridden. Sickness, broken limb, whatever. The degree of severity is up to you. Whatever the case they won't be properly up and about again for quite some time.
Lucky they've got a friend(?) to take care of them, right?
Or maybe just make things worse.
1) Post with your character. Name, canon, etc in the subject.
2) Tag others who've posted.
3) Play out your own patient and carer scenarios in which ever way you both see fit.

noctis lucis caelum | final fantasy xv
surprise bitch
She's got him hidden away in an apartment in Lestallum when he comes to; she's got no idea whether he normally sleeps like a fucking log or whether that's down to whatever's got him messed up. Works for her, though, because when she hears him shifting she knows to look up from the latest mix of remedies and antidotes she's hauled in just in case. ]
Thought it was tradition to wake a sleeping princess with a kiss. Now I just feel ripped off.
i can't believe she didn't slap the poison out of him
... or, well. he assumes he is. because he's struggling back to consciousness in an unfamiliar bed in an equally unfamiliar room, and... while his memories of the past few hours are pretty patchy, the fact that it feels like he's been trampled by an entire herd of chocobo and then aggressively french-kissed by a malboro probably doesn't count as a Good Sign. and even better, a quick scan around the room confirms that neither gladio, ignis, or prompto are anywhere in sight -- his only company is a woman who fraternizes regularly with the empire. (and who has a self-professed willingness to do just about anything for the right sum of gil.)
the only good news is that he doesn't seem to be handcuffed to the bed, but... considering that he currently feels about as weak and floppy as a moogle plush, she might not have felt the need to bother. it's not exactly like he'd make the most intimidating hostage in the world, at the moment. ]
... you should try snatching a princess, next time. [ his voice comes out as a rasp, even after he tries swallowing and licking his lips. ugh. ] But you get points for effort, I guess.
what happened while he was unconscious won't hurt him
Promise. ]
Needs must, Charming. Princesses can be tricky to come by. Here, drink. You sound like hell.
SWEATS
There's at least one running around out there. [ there, that's better. his voice is still weak, but at least it's not a gravelly rasp. ]

[ There's admiration in that. She can't judge Ravus, who at least has hate to egg him into working with the Empire. Lunafreya, though; she's clever. Keeps people guessing, and the thought of it means the smirk on Aranea's face is almost a smile. ]
Which is more than I can say for you. Got any idea what got you? It'd be a hell of a lot easier to get you on your way if I knew what I was working with, here.

... not sure.
[ the poison in his system is enough to make his mind hazy, but he makes a effort to turn his memory backwards to whatever fight must've taken him down. he remembers that they'd started the day off on a hunt -- something impressive, enough to pay-off what they needed to restock their stores of healing items, but... ]
A bug, I think? It was something gross, I remember that.

[ Unhelpful. Not that she can blame him; whatever it was, it did a number on him. It's a pretty quick jaunt back to the pile of stuff to grab a remedy and his phone, and hopefully he's not too alarmed when she sits right on the bed. She's taken off the dragon mail, at least; if he panics and launches himself away and accidentally collects her en route, he's not gonna get a faceful of spikes on top of his current troubles. ]
Try the remedy. And your phone -- woulda called your merry men for you, but you've got that shit locked down tight. 'course, it's probably safer if you stay here until you're a hundred per cent.

... wait. You didn't find the other guys with me?
[ he can't imagine ignis and gladio letting him out of their sight for any extended period of time unless things had gotten... bad. and it's enough to make his stomach twist with anxiety, jaw tightening. ] Shit. Hang on, I should --
[ and he uses his thumbprint to unlock his phone, flicking up on the screen to access his list of contacts. after that, it's just a matter of punching ignis' contact info on his speed dial list, and letting it ring. ... and ring, and ring, and ring. it's enough to make his expression knit that much further in worry, already struggling to push himself up out of bed and back to his feet. ]

No blood, no bodies. [ It's quiet, so that if someone picks up she won't make it hard to hear. It's also about as close to reassuring as she ever tries to get. ] If they need our help they're gonna need you healthy.

... and really, it's much more likely that they're fine, isn't it? it'd take a hell of a lot to take the three of them down, and he doubts whatever monster they were hunting was likely up to the task. so he does his best to cling on tightly to that thought, doing his best to settle the jangle of his nerves. ]
... I get it.
[ he settles back (reluctantly) onto the pile of propped up pillows, lifting one hand to rub at his face. ] ... so I guess I should be relieved that you're not getting into the kidnapping business?
no subject
[ And maybe not. It's kind of pathetic that for all the doubts she's had piling up over the Empire and her part in what they've been doing it was dragging three kids (and they are kids, even the one who seems like he was born seventy) around a dungeon that made her want to re-examine things. But she's a doer, not a thinker; trying to pick apart why she worked with the Empire so long or why it was so easy to decide she was done isn't nearly as rewarding as just trying to do better.
So now here they are, apparently. ]
'course, I'm not exactly in the nursing business either. If there's anything you need, you're gonna have to tell me.

[ dryly, and not sounding all that worried about it. there's a reason why something like this is such an anomaly -- ignis and gladio both tend to watch him like overprotective hawks, and it's hard to imagine any kidnapper desperate enough to come between the two of them and their prince.
... of course, the next bit makes him blink.
if he was inclined to be completely honest, noctis would... have to confess that he's just as stumped as she is, really. he's never had a cut that ignis hasn't carefully bandaged, an illness that ignis hasn't been around to tend to. so, sure, he has some vague idea of how to do all of this himself, but no... actual practical experience. ]
... uh. I think the water's fine for now.

Take. The. Remedy. If you think I'm trying to poison you, I'll grab another one and you can mix 'em up however you like. And you should eat. I can't cook, but I can order takeout like a motherfucker.
