The Sick Bed Meme

For whatever reason, your character is now bedridden. Sickness, broken limb, whatever. The degree of severity is up to you. Whatever the case they won't be properly up and about again for quite some time.
Lucky they've got a friend(?) to take care of them, right?
Or maybe just make things worse.
1) Post with your character. Name, canon, etc in the subject.
2) Tag others who've posted.
3) Play out your own patient and carer scenarios in which ever way you both see fit.

here we go!
There are times, when he still feels uncomfortable calling Newt by his first name after insisting on a more polite Mr. Scamander at first, until Newt very nearly begged him to stop. Now is not one of those times.
He has learned a lot about the wizarding world during the past few months, traveling all through Europe with Newt. But if he's come to two conclusions regarding the man himself, it's a) that he's unfailingly kind and patient with any creature or person he meets (though obviously much more comfortable with the former), and b) that he is very, very stubborn.
Which explains why he's insisting on getting out of bed and going on with his day when he's quite obviously running a fever, his cheeks red under the freckles and his eyes glassy. "Newt, stay in bed today," Credence says, and he tries to sound firm, like when talking a spooked magical beast. "You're sick, you can't get out."

He's felt the fever coming on for the past couple days, having hoped that Credence didn't notice any changes in him until now that he figured it out, pretending to be his usual self any other day of the week when he'd rather just curl up on one of the small beds in the shack instead.
"I'm fine, Credence. Really." Newt insists as he scoots to sit on the edge of the bed. "I can't stay in when there's work to be done." He says as he looks up at the younger man, he can't just take a day off when there were animals to feed and enclosures to clean. His body felt warm and sluggish, a cloudy fuzzy feeling swirling around his head that tempted him with wanting to give up and rest.

"I'll do it," Credence volunteers, determinedly. "You've shown me and I've done it with you enough times. I can feed the animals and clean up their enclosures. I'll take care of them, I promise," he vows, his eyes earnest as he gently pushes Newt back onto the bed.

Newt scooted back into bed, tossing the covers over him once more before shifting to lay down. "Please come wake me if you have trouble with anything, alright?" A few hours more of rest wouldn't kill him, no matter how much he wishes he didn't have to stay in.

"Of course," Credence reassured, and it was almost a lie. He considered Newt and the potential fever he was running and added, "you need to drink something. I will make you a cup of tea, yes?" he volunteered.

He knows better than to believe that Credence would come to him for help when he's put him on bed rest. Besides, the longer he lays here the more inviting the warm of the covers are and slow struggle behind trying to keep his eyes open.
