Nap attack
Someone Is Sleeping in My Bed!

It's morning in EST. But maybe not for you -- A little too late to be sleeping but y'know what? That's okay. People nap. Sometimes the bed is oh so cozy and you want to snuggle under a blanket and sleep forever. And you don't care if it's your bed or not. You're going to sleep. Like a boss.
Too bad someone doesn't agree.
Rules
The Poster is the character who is asleep.
The Responder is the one who discovers the sleeper.
Therefore, the Responder must do one of three things
I. Decide you know this person! (Castmate, previous threader, whatever.)
Go to Random and Roll.
a. Wake them up - You don't care how friendly you are to the person in your bed; they need to get up.
b. Happy Awakening - Such a shame they're so deep asleep when you're in the mood. How about a nice wake up call? (if you don't like smut, keep this to cuddles, kisses, hugs, or reroll)
c. Prank! - Oh, this has just go to stop. They need to be punished. But how?
Can't beat 'em, Join them - Push 'em over and snuggle up. You're too tried to deal with this craziness right now. Or sleep on your couch.
d. Let them Sleep - Whatever, it's noon. They're asleep and you got things to do. Regard them or disregard them.
II. Decide you have NO CLUE this person is! (People that haven't threaded with each other before, crossovers, castmates who haven't met.)
Go to Random and Roll.
a. Scream 'OMGWTFBBQ GET UP' - While this is probably the default reaction, it's a pretty honest one.
b. Prank! - What a better way for you to remember this moment of meeting than by painting a mustachio on your new 'friend's' face? (Remember, it's your bed. Be wise on what you do.)
c. Gently wake them up - Oh, the poor dears! They must be exhausted but they can't stay here. Be nice, even if it isn't IC for your character. This is what you get for rolling. Shake them up quietly. Or reroll.
d. Get to Know them NON-Biblically - Well, they're asleep. But they left their wallet, important work, or identification out (no matter how OOC it may be)! Let's see who's REALLY sleeping in your bed. (Use your own judgment on what you find. As a suggestion, have the most they find is the sleeper's name and maybe place of work.)
e. Tie 'em up - FUNCTIONAL tying up. Not kinky, no matter what the other party might think. Let them continue their blissful moment of rest. They'll answer questions later and you'll be safe and sound.
III. Decide - f**k the police. You hear me right. F**k 'em.
You move forward and make your own fate!

Since when did justice take a day off? How was he to punish the wicked without his Detective?
He headed for her home, knocking as he tended to do now as opposed to just walking in, but when he got no answer... well, old habits did die hard. He let himself in and nosed around the house, looking for signs of her whereabouts.
He found his answer when he reached her bedroom, Chloe sprawled on her bed. Sleeping. Sleeping. In the middle of the day! Well. Well.
He went over and stood beside the bed, wondering what he should do. Did he wake her? He wanted to, but looking down at her, he saw the relaxed lines of her face, saw her taking a moment for herself in the hectic chaos of her life and he couldn't bring himself to do it. She did look rather charming sleeping -- though she always did to him. A few more moments of standing there and he decided that she looked far too peaceful and he wanted a piece of it. Shoes toed off, he quietly came around to the other side of the bed, lowering himself onto it and scooting over until he could curl up behind her.
It wasn't until he lay there with his nose buried in her hair, hand resting lightly on her waist that he found that snippet of what it was she was searching for. Just a little peace and quiet and solitude-- though, less solitary than she'd intended.]

And with the increase in her workload came a decrease in sleep. Even she knew something had to give eventually, and when she found herself dozing off in the shower that morning, she took it upon herself to call in for the day. What point was there in going in when she was practically dead on her feet? She would be more useful when she was rested. Her boss had been more than amenable to the idea, telling her over the phone that she'd 'looked like hell' over the past few days anyway.
So she'd gotten Trixie off to school, changed into her pajamas, and curled up in the bed. Almost instantly, she was dead to the world.
So much so that she hadn't heard him come in. Still, she was a fairly light sleeper, and even if she hadn't heard him, she could definitely feel someone touching her when she was supposed to be alone. Her eyes snapped open and she shot up, ready to fight and--
Oh, thank God. It was only Lucifer.]
Jesus, you scared the crap out of me! What the hell are you doing?
[She had a hand clutched at her chest, trying to calm her racing heart. She was used to him just entering as he pleased, but she hadn't been prepared this time.] I could've knocked your teeth out.

I thought that was rather obvious, Detective. I'm attempting to cuddle. You seemed a little worn out and looked incredibly peaceful.
[Coming from anyone else, he'dve laughed at that, but coming from her... he ran his tongue over his teeth, trying to picture himself with any of them missing. No, thank you.]

First you break into my house to cook me breakfast, and now you're sneaking in for random cuddle sessions. I swear, one of these days I'm getting you a bell. Why didn't you call first?

[He buried his nose back in her hair, taking in a deep breath of Chloe-scented air before letting it out on a sigh.]
Many have tried. Won't work, sorry. And I did. You didn't answer. I got... concerned.

[She hummed softly as he nosed at her hair, trying to stifle a yawn before she caught that last part.]
Really? [Her brows drew together as she lazily reached for her phone sitting on her side dresser. She scrolled through her messages, noticing his missed calls and texts and gave him a somewhat sheepish look.] Sorry. I didn't hear it at all. I guess I needed a break more than I thought.
no subject
Mm, so you do. Of course, it gave me a very good reason to come over, so I'm not too annoyed. Feeling less so the more I lay here, actually.
no subject
You really don't have anything better to do, like taking care of things at Lux, or entertaining... people?
[As unnecessary as it was, it did feel nice that he came to check on her. She really should've thought to call him, too.]
no subject
[His hand lifted off her to reach up and draw lightly over the marks under her eyes. He let out a soft sigh, shaking his head.]
You are only mortal, you know. It won't do if you go off and get yourself killed when I've just gotten used to you. I forbid you from running yourself ragged.
no subject
You forbid me, huh? [An amused, sleepy smile.] I didn't take you for such a mother hen.
But even so, that's why I'm here instead of at the precinct. I know what my limits are.
no subject
[His hand rested on the side of her cheek, thumb idly stroking her as he let his eyes flick over her face, noting just how tired she was.]
Perhaps you need more than a day off, mm? Somewhere warm and where you can be waited on hand and foot. Maybe in a bikini?
[There was a faint grin there. He really couldn't help himself.]
no subject
[She sighed into his touch and closed her eyes, palms curling up against his chest so she could press tighter against him.
She laughed at that last comment, though.]
Funny, that sounds more like some wild fantasy come true for you than a vacation for me. Besides, there's no way I'd be able to get away with that.

[Or if she's too worn out to work hard. Same difference.]
I'd probably go stir-crazy anyway. It's not like I can afford to go on long, expensive vacations. I have Trixie to think about.

Absolutely not. I'm not taking your money, Lucifer. It would be irresponsible of me to do that.
