It's simple enough and something she's done a handful of times before, usually when Izaya claims to be female online. Generally, it's a quick process: meet the person or people in question, hand over cash, and get whatever it is Izaya's after. Until now, she's never run into an issue.

This time, though, is different. The address she's given leads her to a closed down restaurant - one that she sees is essentially being used for storage and junk once she gets inside through the back door. On top of that, the guy she's meeting seems almost excited once she shows up. Most people aren't quite as indifferent to this as she is, but she's used to seeing nervousness instead.

The exchange itself goes fine. She hands over an envelope and he counts the money inside. Then he hands over a flash drive that she tucks away in her purse. It seems like everything's done.

Until there's a shout outside. As wary as she is, she's not prepared for the sudden sound of glass breaking or the sudden flash of a fire starting as the guy in front of her breaks into a wide grin.

"You shouldn't have threatened us, Nakura-san." It's all he offers in his glee as another molotov cocktail sails in through the broken window, enabling the spread of the fire to the number of aging boxes of whatever is being stored in the building. One more flies in as she turns to move back the way she came in, one sleeve-covered hand now covering her mouth to battle the smoke surrounding them. She only gets a couple of steps before a hand grips her arm and yanks her back, a shove following that has her stumbling into a stack of burning boxes nearby.

Boxes she soon finds out are full of glassware as she knocks them over, nearly falling into them in the process. When she catches herself and turns back to look at him, it takes a look around to realize he's already on his way out, knocking things over along his way in a likely attempt to keep her from escaping if she tries.

Unfortunately for their plan, Izaya is the reason for this and she's livid. So, through the coughing and the pain radiating from one forearm and shoulder, she stumbles her way back out of the building, earning another burn to her calf on the way out.

She's a sight when she makes it to the sidewalk and she's lucky that it's fairly late, so avoiding too many lights will keep people away from questioning the holes burned into her clothes and the state of her health. That's what she hopes, anyway, because she doesn't need the unwanted attention to distract her from the thoughts of strangling Izaya - the adrenaline from those thoughts and what just happened keeping her moving quicker than she would be otherwise.

Finally Adrian settles down beside the other before grabbing the blood-stained fabric of his shirt in a death grip, expression and tone relatively calm in comparison. Read his lips: ] I hate blood. Don't make me do this a third time. Okay?
