There's nothing like a nice, relaxing cup of tea. Right?

The Rules

1. GREEN TEA: Makes the drinker wiser. Bear in mind that wise doesn't necessarily mean smart.


2. JASMINE TEA: Turns boys girly, turns girls girlier.


3. EARL GREY TEA: Drinkers of this tea can't tell anything but the truth.


4. LADY GREY TEA: Drinkers of this tea can't tell anything but lies.


5. STRAWBERRY TEA: Causes uncontrollable hiccups.


6. MINT TEA: Causes a complete personality flip. Good is bad, bad is good, etc.


7. LEMON TEA: Instead of flipping personalities, suddenly gain someone else's personality.


8. CHERRY TEA: Ever saw a blushing virgin right before being deflowered? The people that drink this tea will show you how it's done.


9. CHAI TEA: Causes an uncontrollable need to dance, wherever you go.


10. OOLONG TEA: Causes an uncontrollable need to express everything in the form of a song. It might be a song you already know, or you might find you have a hidden talent for lyrics.


11. CHOCOLATE TEA: Effects may include: horniness, uncontrollable lust, more horniness, the need to take off clothes, a hoarse sexy voice, sweaty skin. (For the underage, causes uncomfortable heat and cheesy pickup lines.)


12. VANILLA TEA: Causes childish innocence, kindness, love of everything alive.


13. CARAMEL TEA: Have a little respect for your four-legged friends. Turns the drinker into an animal of the mun's choosing.


14. BERRY TEA: Ever wondered what it was like to be the opposite gender? You didn't? Too bad! Turns boys to girls and vice versa, complete with all the appropriate parts.


15. ROSE TEA: For the love of all that is good and shoujo, will the drinkers of this tea stop sparkling so melodramatically?


16. ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA: Not only will the drinker be more arrogant, snobbish and better than you, but they will also voice it. Loudly. Narcissism is encouraged. So is slapping them back to their senses.


17. CHAMOMILE TEA: This tea will calm you down to the point of apathy and sloth. Don't bother leaving bed, it's not even worth it.


18. DAFFODIL TEA: SUCH A CALM TEA AT FIRST SIGHT BUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN IT MAKES YOU TALK IN CAPSLOCK?


19. THYME TEA: Suddenly your clothes don't seem to fit so well! Adult drinkers of this tea will be de-aged to childhood. Child drinkers will be aged to adulthood.


20. DARJEELING TEA: Causes the drinker to suffer severe delusions. They might just start to think they're the Queen of England, or a tree, or any number of things. I suggest you take videos for posterity and blackmail.


21. BLACK TEA: Causes blindness.


22. DECAF TEA: Sleep, who needs sleep?


23. WILD CARD: Choose a tea, mix and match, or invent your own!

[He normally does not drink tea but since that was all there was, Tsukasa conceded with good graces and spooned a lot of sugar into his cup. After the first sip, anyone nearby would notice that he is starting to sparkle. Dramatically even.]

Well this is new.

[If that's all the drink they have then a couple of people are probably out doing the grocery shopping, and therefore Marvelous is mostly just thinking about what kind of food they might come back with. Until he's distracted by the glimmering out of the corner of his eye. Coming from Tsukasa. The only appropriate response to that is-]

[Here, have even a pose on top of all the glittery sparkles of shoujo hero. The only problem with the pose is that it's more along the lines of something that he would do while pretending to be the Great Leader of Dai-Shocker then fighting for justice. Oh well, he can't be perfect in everything.]

[Well, Tsukasa doesn't seem bothered by it, so whatever has caused it isn't hurting him. Maybe Marvelous can just grin and enjoy it? He does look kind of ridiculous sparkling. What Earthling does that?]

[Standard Tsukasa reply get. He also picks up one of the pieces of fruit that came with the tea and nibbles on it.]

So, I guess my next question should be what are you doing in this world? [Ignore the sparkles. He wants to know if he has to deal with space empires and pirates in order to move to the next world.]

[Look, look into his eyes and see how serious he is. Ignoring the amused grin because that's about how ridiculous you look. But Marvelous does respect the confidence with which you work it. He'd be the same if something like that were to happen to him.

Okay, don't look into his eyes because you're blinding, and not in the usual way.]

Dude, you can't carry on a regular conversation with me when you're looking like that. Isn't there anything we can do to fix it?

[Maybe that's what Tsukasa needs to deal with before he can move on.]

[Maybe he should make a habit of drinking this tea stuff if it was to keep people from really wanting to look at him. It might actually get all those butthurt lackeys off of his back and allow him to do something nice like take a nap. Or have a big meal of sweets and then have a nap.

He finished his piece of fruit and throws his hands up in the air.]

I didn't even start to sparkle until after I had some tea. So I don't know how it works or what I would have to do to make it stop.

[Well, okay fine. Marvelous has heard and dealt with stranger things. A wiser person than he would suggest Tsukasa not drink anymore of it, but it goes against Marvelous' very nature to tell someone not to eat or drink something unless it's his food they're trying to eat. He just cannot do it.]

You feel alright otherwise? You're pretty calm about this.

[So is he. Mostly because it's not happening to him.]

[Just smiles at him, like he expects Marvelous to tell him to go jump into a river or something at that suggestion. He finishes the tea and sets his cup down and folds his hands together, still smiling.]

I feel fine, though I'm a little hungry. You wouldn't happen to have something more to eat, would you?

[Are you trying to imply Marvelous is a coward? Or that he doesn't do stupid things? HE TOTALLY DOES STUPID THINGS. ALL THE TIME. No this isn't something to be boasting about but there you go.

The moment he picks up his cup, though, he finds himself drawn to looking at Tsukasa again. Something about those sparkles...]

It gets easier to handle the longer you look. And, actually... You look kind of... [This is such a fancypants word but whatever, it's accurate.] Radiant?

[He doesn't intend any insult by it, he's only being matter-of-fact; being female isn't a bad thing in his eyes. Seems like it could have its perks, to be honest.]

I just mean, you know, [Some very unhelpful hand gesturing goes here-] like you're shining out from within. It highlights how hot you are.

[Ahim has been kind enough to prepare tea for the both of them. She had mentioned something about trying new flavors that she found, and AkaRed certainly wasn't one to turn down being a taste tester for such seemingly innocent things. He himself have been served cherry tea. It's a bit fruitier than what he's used for such drink, but it's none the less delicious.

Only...his face suddenly feels very hot, like he's suddenly embarrassed about something. But no, these equally sudden jitters are one of embarrassment, and it only confuses him more. Why on Earth does he feel like he's a shy young thing about to be bedded for the first time? That 'virgin blush' on his face probably doesn't help, either.]

[AkaRed's face has gone kind of pink, like it's hot in here. But the main room on the Galleon is huge and airy, so there's no way that's the problem. The only other thing Marvelous can think of is a prank.]

There isn't chilli or something in your drink is there? I promise it wasn't me.

[The mischievous grin he gives when he announces that isn't very convincing, but he's telling the truth! He just thinks it's amusing. AkaRed trusts everyone, even notorious pirates.]

N-no, there's nothing like that in the tea! I'm pretty sure that it would be obvious if it was.

[Chili would be a rather hard flavor to miss in a fruity tea, after all. But that still doesn't explain why he feels all hot and full of nerves. Really, he's in one of the safest places he can think of, with one of the few people that he trusts very deeply. Plus, it's not a hot day.]

...I'll be fine...

[He takes another sip of his tea to try and calm his nerves. However, this only causes his blush to deepen and to make him outright flustered. What on earth is going here??]

[All the denial is just making this more amusing; AkaRed resembles his name more than ever now. Marvelous sniggers.]

You sure you'll be fine? Looks like it's getting worse.

[He won't just sit and laugh though, not when something could be very wrong. Marvelous gets up and reaches out to touch AkaRed's shoulder.]

Maybe I should use one of the ranger keys to check you over. Could be something suspicious.

[Magic? Poison? Or who else knows what. They can both admit there are plenty of potential enemies and evils out there.]

[Marvelous nods and walks over to the treasure chest to rummage around amongst the ranger keys when he has a realisation. He recognises this reaction. How could he not? It's just a unusual place for someone to suddenly develop it, when usually they're beneath him on a bed, or the floor, indoors, outdoors, on another planet-]

Yo, AkaRed, are you sitting there thinking some dirty thoughts? I won't judge you for it.

[As if he'd presume it was sexual and then not comment on it. Marv isn't known for his tact.]

[Honestly, AkaRed should've expected Marvelous to realize what this reaction normally is caused by. Even back when the latter was the former's apprentice, he had been open to the point of being lewd sometimes. That still doesn't prevent AkaRed from sputtering in response to that inquiry.]

Wh-Why would I be thinking about such things at this point in time?! And even if I was, I wouldn't be acting like this anyway!

[There's very few people in the universe that he would make that kind of confession to. For all that he's a bold and heroic pirate in his own right, he still has a good sense of propriety around most other people.]

I know better than that; you're not inexperienced, but I won't fault you whatever you're suddenly feeling. Want me to help you out with it?
