This was Steve's fault.

Between the argument over whether he ever drove any more, and if Satellite Navigation worked better than maps, and the goading from the others that maybe they should find out these things together.

It might have taken a long time to convince the both of them, and Tony had been the first one to break because he was so sure that he would handle it far longer than Steve could. That, and it gave him an excuse to drive one of the older cars he had. Never as old as Rogers, of course - but it would do.

It had only been minutes into the drive that he was giving Steve grief. Something about which turn they had to take next. After all, Jarvis would have already given him a heads up, but right now - he was completely out of touch with anything even remotely digital. It was why he'd taken one of the older cars. It had nothing but good old fashioned work done to it... except the digital radio. Technically, he could probably do some work right here and now to get a satellite signal but-- well, he'd wait until it was completely necessary.

[ rory still didn't know what she thought about a road trip. really if anything a road trip was the last thing she should have been doing. the guy she liked was dead, she should be off trying to find his ghost - trying to find a way to bring him back. trying to get rid of the terminus inside of her so she wouldn't destroy a ghost by touching them.

instead she was in a car with ronan, going who knows where. ]

[ although they have a goal in mind ( it's her goal, really, but he agrees to help her accomplish it ), it takes a while to figure out where they're going. there's plans to be made and richard is obsessive over figuring out every detail - where they're going to stay, how to cloak it from the authorities and people who may want the space for themselves, how to get money. she's impatient but she lets him plan; if killing malvado were going to be a simple process she would have been able to do it a long time ago.

he's found a warehouse where they can wait out the sunlight, and they've been driving to it for the past few hours. she shifts uncomfortably in her seat, arching her back and rotating her head from side to side before looking to him. ]
