UNUSUAL SHOW OF AFFECTION shipping meme You don't have to give this person anything to prove you care. But maybe you want to; it's an easy way of letting them know your affection and telling them you're open to a relationship. If you're already with your love interest, a gift might just remind them of your feelings. Most would give flowers or chocolate or offer up a night of quality time or chores done. Those are the usual. You're not usual yourself. Neither is the person you're with...or want to be with. You'll have to go for the unusual. So whether it's building your crush a robot to ask them out, making your friend-or-possibly-more the best fifteen course meal they've ever had, or teaching your significant other to be the strongest ninja warrior, go big or go home. Or go where it's natural, given how unconventional you can be. Comment with your character, canon, and any info. Be sure to include whether you want to play out an unestablished or established relationship, and what your character would give to another- ie, their gift, their gesture, service, skill, etc. Reply to others. [ A piece of jewelry exchanged between lovers was certainly not uncommon for dwarfs. Thorin doubted that it was all that odd for elves, particularly of their royalty. It mattered little what the elvish custom actually was. Thorin had taken time to craft a gift for Thranduil. There had been no reason for it other than simply wanting to see a piece of dwarrow craftsmanship - his own craft - upon her hand. Daily, hopefully. In reality, he doubted that to be so. She was very particular on her presentation to others. Every detail mattered.

Their meal now finished, Thorin waited until they were fully alone to speak. He placed his goblet (because of course she had such) on the table. ]

[ Lately Bull's been noticing things that maybe Dorian hasn't. Like the tiredness that haunts his eyes, leaves dark circles underneath. Has that man looked in a mirror recently?

Dorian keeps himself as groomed as ever but Bull can see it, the haggardness just around the eyes, the cloudiness that lays like a layer over them. And apparently the Inquisitor had noticed it as well, coming to him earlier in the week to ask if he knew anything about it, which Bull doesn't.

Seeing as he's got nothing to do for the rest of the day, the Chargers spending their time in the tavern as usual, Bull goes to find him. This is as good a time as ever, hopefully he's not interrupting anything. Like Dorian trying to catch up on some beauty rest. ]
