All Hallow's Eve is over but the nights seem to be bleeding further into the day, faster than they should; then the power to the cities goes out, the satellite is silent, batteries only last so long until they are exchanged for torches as the world is thrown into a sunless chaos. No one knows what is happening or why and there are Darkling Things that have begin moving in the shadows, whispering:
"One shade the more, one ray the less..." Darkling Things & Fell Winds

She had a coat wrapped around her but that was threatening to be ripped from her shoulders. Looking around, she saw a deserted street. Why was it always her that got into difficulty? All the strange things she'd been in with the Doctor and now this? But, he wasn't here right now. She was alone.]
no subject
Oh hush! We're fine! None of that rubbish!
[But then the whole box went spinning and finally crashed into something, causing a jarring stop. Staggering, the Doctor made his way to the doors, opening and nearly blew away with the high winds. He had crashed into a building, but was more focused on the idiots actually being out in this kind of weather.]
no subject
Had he crashed? She ran over to the blue box and noticed an older man standing by the two doors. Who was he and where was the Doctor?]
Who are you? Where's the Doctor?
no subject
[It was a snarky reply, especially given this was certainly a reunion he wasn't expecting in the slightest. He had missed her, though those feelings were deep down inside and he didn't want to surfacely admit to it.]
The TARDIS is the same; I'm the same only a different face...
[He stands there, coat whipping into the wind as he squints to even see her, red hair blowing into the wind.]
no subject
What? Yeah, I can see the TARDIS is the same. You're telling me you're the Doctor? But, that can't be true. He's a young man with floppy hair and a bowtie. You have to be confused with someone else....
[She grabbed hold of the TARDIS door handle to stop herself from being blown away.]
Whoever you are, what's going on? Do you know?
no subject
[It seems he was still sensitive about his older appearance, but he might be more miffed that Amy didn't want to believe him. What was it with the isistence on a young face?]
I'm older than we last spoke.
[He seems a little more somber at that note, before looking at his surroundings.]
How long has it been like this?
[Without saying anything, he steps back inside, leaving the door open for Amy to follow. The layout may be different, but it still was the TARDIS as she knew it. Pulling up a screen, the Doctor points out on the monitor.]
Whatever it is, it isn't a storm.
[There were no clouds on the radar.]
no subject
Alright. Say I believe you; what is going on? Why has the weather gone all weird? [She frowned at his words.] I don't know! I thought you could tell me!
no subject
Did you always shout? I'm not deaf; I'm right here.
[Pulling the monitor over, he's scanning for answers.]
What were you the exact moment the winds picked up? What did you see?
no subject
Decorated again, have we? What was wrong with the glass floor look? I rather liked it. Or, is it because you changed? New Doctor, new TARDIS interior? [She looked at him and wondered what he was thinking. The new Doctor did sound rather serious than the last one she knew, but it was still the same man underneath.]
I just saw a flash in the sky then the storms started happening. They're happening all over the world; not just here.
no subject
How long ago was that?
Focus, Amy! [He snaps his fingers and points to his eyes.] Did you see anything other than the flash?

It was just a little bit tedious. Definitely didn't help the Doctor's God complex either, always being picked. Looking around at the thick unsettling dark, she would have perhaps made a bigger protest about the whole thing being stopped but for once, this wasn't her fault. And she didn't overly like someone else trying to kill them. "So what's the plan? I assume you have one? Endless dark, dreadful weather, the end is nigh. It's you're Christmas list in action, love."
That and she wanted this end before that dreadful breeze blew her hat off.

"Do you think I rang them up? 'Oh yes, I'd love to see a massive ship above London, thank you'. Like that's never happened before." The Doctor sneered over to Missy. (The thought that she even picked out a nickname made him gag.)
He's all teeth, and eyebrows and scowls, the wind picked up as the ship emitted another sound pulse, going over the town like waves. "If we don't stop this, the frequency alone will destroy half this place." No, he didn't have a plan.
no subject
"You're always so desperate to play hero, I really wouldn't be shocked if you set yourself up to save the way. Especially if you're impressing some random earth girl," Like Clara. Or Martha. Or whoever else happened to be fawning over him.
With a disinterested look, she cocked her head to the side, eyebrows raised. "Would that be the half we're in or the other half? I just need to know how much I have to actually care about this. I mean if we're not under threat, what's the point of panicking?"
no subject
Moments later there was a broadcast of some harsh, deep-sounding voice resignating through the air. Assuming that was who they were up against, the Doctor remained silent, trying to decipher what it was saying. "Please, something give it a mouth rinse..."
no subject
Tilting her head back, she listened to the communication with a frown but honestly, it was very hard to understand. Like someone talking with a lot of bass. So much so it was more vibration than word half the time. "You'd think you could translate this nonsense into something more coherent. Can't you use that sonic thing to change the frequency of the broadcast?"
Oh well, it looks like helping was steadily becoming her chosen option.
no subject
"Oh c'mon, that can't be that special! Their defense system is lacking!" He hoped UNIT would cut things short and blast them out of the sky and he wouldn't have to do anything.
Sadly, he cared a tiny bit for this planet and it's pudding brains. He moves past Missy back into the TARDIS. It was time to board the ship and see what he really was up against.
no subject
"So what's the plan? Running away? I know a fantastic planet. Three moons. We could conquer each one and rename it. Wouldn't that be a fun weekend? Or we could have a picnic on Venus."
All of which were better than trying to save the day.
no subject
"We're going on board, and I don't care if you like it or not. I don't care about this species, really, but I can't have them mucking up this planet with whatever take over plan they possess."
Really, he was tempted to take Missy up on her offer, but then she'd probably annoy him in less than five minutes on that trip too.
Sorry! This week was hectic!
Maybe she could try and sue the Doctor for facial bruising or wounds? If she was going to headbutt the console floor because this idiot couldn't pass his flight exam then surely she was owed money.
"You don't have to explain yourself to me, dear. If you want to save a dull little species from another dull little species then fine. Every man needs a hobby," Though she couldn't promise a hijacking wouldn't happen. Or a mutiny. Or an attempt at genocide. Honestly, depends on her mood and how much longer she could cope with being on the good side.
no worries
The entire ship was oddly empty. Very empty as the Doctor moved through the halls. He hoped getting out of the cargo bay would help, but the smell only got worse.
no subject
"Smells like the dead," Missy supplied helpfully as she loitered behind him, not overly eager to find whatever was causing that smell. Because it really did sound like a whole crew had died in here and been left to rot. And that wasn't a pretty sight to behold. "Perhaps we should retreat? No shame in leaving the party early, dear."
no subject
The entire time they were alone, alone with only themselves and this horrible rotting stench permeating their senses. Once reaching the bridge, the Doctor was ready to let out one big curse when he found it completely empty.
"WHO IS PILOTING THIS BLOODY THING!?"
