[ Overall, Peter was liking the good stuff to bad stuff ratio that they were cultivating. The downside to that was that it meant everyone seemed to come after them in some capacity or another, but escaping was definitely one of their strong points.

This time wasn't their cleanest of getaways, ending in a semi-crash landing in a planet that hadn't bothered to identify. On the bright side, it was only a "semi" crash landing, which meant they'd probably be on their way, uh... soon. Besides, it's not like they possibly could have landed any place that would be worse than being pursued under heavy fire.

That's what he's thinking until he actually steps out to survey the damage. It's about that time that Peter realizes it's not the Milano that's really hurting here. Whatever's come through the city they (crash) landed alongside has left it smoking and smoldering. ]

[In the immediate aftermath of the crash there's a long moment of picking himself up, of groaning and muttering darkly about the damn useless designed-for-humanoids crash restraints, of doing a quick count to make sure he's still got the same number of limbs he started with. Well, they're still alive. That's a start.

He's still focused on assessing the damage to the inside of the ship - specifically the cockpit and the controls - when he hears that comment. In his experience, when Quill says something's "not good", that can mean anything from dinner being slightly overcooked, to the incipient end of the universe. It's not all that helpful for gauging the severity of the situation is what he's saying here.

So he heads out to take a look himself, and the sight that greets him...even he doesn't have a smart remark lined up]

...we didn't do that, did we?

I don't... think so?

[ He sure hopes not. There's no way they've done that, he knows, but still- It looks recent, which means who, or what, did it could still be around. More than that, it means there might still people there. ]

Come on, man, I think we gotta- [ He's clearly antsy, and he takes off running towards the site before he even finishes his sentence. ] Come on!
