Pretty self-explanatory. Sometimes, chemistry just hits you and you see that special someone for the first time and . . . it's so intense, there's no reasoning behind it other than it has to be love.

→ Congratulations, whoever tags your character is seeing them for the first time and is in love with them. Truly, madly, deeply.

How does one just walk up to the man who is supposed to be your soul mate and start a conversation? She realized after she opened the door to the tavern that she had no idea what to say. She quickly sat at a table in the corner and when the barmaid asked if she wanted a drink she nodded and shooed the woman away. She sat, half cloaked in shadow, and watched the table at which he sat, the man with the lion tattoo. He was surrounded by other men raucous from too much drink, she assumed. They moved about and blocked her view. She needed to at least see the man if she were going to come up with something to say. At the moment the only thing she could think of was 'hello'.

He stands up from the table, with his mug in his hand, intent on going back up to the bar for another round of drinks. As he looks around the tavern, he catches sight of her. Dark hair, dark eyes, and she seems to have noticed him too. He has no idea who she is, but he knows that he wants to get to know her better.

She knows she should look away as he starts to stand, but her eyes are riveted by him. He has a rogue-ish look, facial hair fairly well groomed but hair longer than she usually liked. Something about him, though, made her heart catch in her throat. It was as if she'd never seen a man so handsome.

The barmaid returned with her drink, blocking her view. Regina's focus was broken for a moment, and by the time the woman moved she was struck with nervousness. She wrapped her hands around her mug and pulled it close, eyes on the table, and worked on summoning the courage to look up again.

He continues in his quest to get another round of drinks, and once he has gotten his refill he heads back in the direction of his table. He takes a detour, though, and heads in her direction instead. It's obvious he's at as much of a loss about what to say as she is when he gets there and all he can think of is, "Hello."

Regina is speechless. Anyone who knew her would know how unusual that is. She was grateful to see his hands full of cups, though, as it gave her an idea of something to say. Even though it was obvious he'd purchased an round for his entire group of friends, at the moment he was standing alone in front of her, and that made an amusing sight.

"You must be awfully thirsty. Or are those all for me?" she asked with a hint of smirk.

"It's hard work being me." It's really not, but perhaps it's an opening to introduce himself.

"And who exactly are you?" she asks, wondering if she's stepping right into a verbal trap he's laid for her.

"Would you like to join me? Your arms must be getting tired holding all of those cups."

"Robin of Locksley." He doesn't ask for her name; she'll give it when she feels like it.

"I really should get these to where they belong. I'll be back after that though."

"Regina." She's heard of him, the legendary bandit. How could a man like that be her soul mate? Still, there was an undeniable feeling in her heart when she looked at him. She smiled like a silly schoolgirl at him and batted her eyelashes.

"I'll hold you to that," she said in reply, then watched him walk away a little too closely. The view from behind was just as attractive as from the front.

He delivers the drinks to his men and then returns to her table, turning the chair backwards and straddling it. He rests his arms on the chair's back. "Regina. Isn't that the queen's name?"

She's delighted when he returns, until she realizes he made the connection to her being the queen. She knows how the general public feels about her. Still, if they are meant to be together, there is no point in lying.

"Yes, it is, and tomorrow I will have to go back to ruling the kingdom. But for tonight I am just Regina."

"So what brings just Regina into a place like this?" There are women in these sorts of places, sure. There are generally not queens in these sorts of places.

"I was looking for someone," she replied, which surprisingly was the truth. And she certainly had found him - well, Tinkerbell had. If things worked out, she would make sure that fairy got her wings.

"And you? Celebrating something in particular?"

"Did you find them?" She's still sitting by herself, so he really can't be sure.

"Not especially. We just come in here every so often."

"I am not certain yet. But it looks promising." She catches his gaze and holds it, a hint of a twinkle in her eye.

"So you know who I am but you're still here. That surprises me."

"Is there a law against talking to the queen?" That's all they're doing, is talking. There's nothing to worry about.

"Not an official one, at least not that I have decreed. But I'm fully aware that most people are not overly fond of me. If you were seen with me it might lead people to think differently of you." And suspect him of being in league with her, and stop helping hide him from whomever made him leave his own lands.

Normally she didn't care about anyone but herself, but there she was, concerned about the welfare of a man she barely knew. Already knowing him was changing her.

"Good, I was afraid that was another law I was going to have to break." He doesn't care about breaking them, obviously, but it's easier if there are fewer that he has to worry about. "Those who aren't fond of you, how much do they really know about you? You've given me no reason so far not to be fond of you. After all, you are in here, a common tavern, drinking alcohol and mingling with the rabble. That's not exactly typical queen behavior."

Excuses, excuses. He just wants to talk to her.

"You're right, it's not. And it's not typical for me either. Usually an evening like this would be spent alone, in my castle, plotting my next move against my enemies." Her only enemy was Snow, and she kept eluding Regina. Looking at the smile of the man across from her, that did not seem like such a pressing matter any more.

"Now that I see what I've been missing, I may never leave."

"That won't do you much good when I'm not here. Unless you've got some other reason to stay." Plus there's the fact that he moves around a lot. It's the side effect of being on the bad side of the sheriff.

"You're leaving?" she asked, unable to hide the disappointment in her voice. It didn't seem fair. She had just found him and already he was going away?

"I am not sure this tavern would hold the same charm without you in it."

"Not just yet. We're not done drinking." His men will be disappointed if they leave now. They have nowhere else to be right now anyway.

"I'll be back again, charming the place up."

She arched an eyebrow. "I didn't mean right this minute. I know enough about how you operate to know that you won't be staying in this town for long." She immediately started to plan a way to keep track of him. If she could get something of his, she could use magic to always know where he was.

"I am sure the barmaids will be positively beside themselves until you return."
