Looks like the weather forecast was right; it's absolutely freezing! Not only that, but your town/city/jamjar/wherever is knee-deep in snow. Schools are shut, roads are backed up for miles and the general quiet chaos of a snow day has taken over.

But forget those negative nellies! Just post a comment with your series name and character name as usual, as well as any other notes you wish to add, then pick a prompt using the RNG and get started!


1. OMG SNOW!!!

Snow is just the BEST THING EVER, RIGHT?! Well, that's what you think and you're determined to have a good time with snowball fights, snowmen, snow forts and every other conceivable kind of snow-related activity with your friends... even if they don't really want to join in.

2. FUCK YOU, SNOW.

Oh god, it's snowing. This just completely ruins your day. Maybe you were planning to go shopping but the roads are still blocked up, or because the school closed, you need to hire a last minute babysitter for your kids. Whatever the reason for it, you're not pleased about this snow and you don't care what anyone else thinks.

3. SNOW SIEGE

Oh lord, it looks like you're stuck inside. With the amount of snow at your door, you can't open it! Will you make a daring escape out the window or will you just give up and watch TV? But what if you run out of snacks? Or the TV reception dies?!

4. BUSINESS BEFORE PLEASURE

With all this snow around, people's drives and lawns are completely blocked up. Why not take the opportunity to make a quick buck and clean their front gardens for them? If you team up with your friends, you can become a snow-clearing machine and make massive profits!

((SNOW. YES. YEYEYS. And a snow day no less. In his winter hat and coat, wrapped up with a scarf and matching mittens, Nagisa went plowing out the house to play. He was nothing short of a three year old when it came to snow, as he loved to slip around on the ice. So as he slipped down the sidewalks, one quick glance to his left and she skidded to a halt, and slowly, on the snow that was easiest to walk on, walked backwards until Mirai came into clear view.

His eyes light up, and his hand shoots upwards, cupping the other around his mouth.))

[Snow has a strange effect on Mirai. On the one hand, she loved it. Memories of walking down icy cold paths with Yui were pleasant memories. But those, enjoyably as they were, still tugged at her heart with a twinge of guilt. She was lost in thought, staring at nothing in particular until she turned in the direction of the voice.

That voice. Ugh. Her face shifted from contemplative to surprised in record time.] N-Nagisa-kun. Good morning.

[He could definitely pass as a nine year old the way he was acting.]

[waddling]

((Ah! YES! The first step, Greetings and Salutations, is a success. He clenches his fists together privately and pridefully at his waist, before running over to her. He's not really one to take regard of the possibility that someone didn't want him around.

He smiles.)) Happy snow day! I guess you came out to enjoy it too, right?

[unpleasingly]

[Dammit, Nagisa. She'd hoped her disinterest would be enough of a hint, but of course he's oblivious as ever. She sighs, and simply continues walking on, keeping her hands in her pockets with a slight pout on her face.] No. I'm going shopping.

[Her cupboards are quite literally bare, and she needs to use what little finances she has to feed herself.]

What are you shopping for?

((He trails long beside her, leaning forward at the hips, knitting his hands behind him as he admires her. Yes, admires. Mirai is astoundingly cute, of course.))

Groceries. I'm running low on food, so I need to stock up a little. [That will wind up being most likely unhealthy, but very cheap. So yeah. She still doesn't make eye contact with him, her gaze remaining for ward in hopes it'll make him get bored and leave. Emphasis on hope.]

[waddling]

((Nagisa is the killer of hopes. Crushing dreams of solitude, invading personal space, cockblocking ships. Yeah. The destroyer.))

[That's him to a t. She nods in response to his question.] Mhm. I have for a while.

[waddling]

Ahhhh!!

That's pretty brave of you! I don't think I could ever live alone, at least not for a few more years. Heheh, I'd probably forget to feed myself. ((He's joking around, c'mon mirai, smile smile.))

It's not brave, it's... [My only option.] convenient. You'd probably be kicked out in a week. [Mirai, don't say that, you're barely making rent.]

[waddling]

Good thing I don't really have to worry about living in an apartment then, huh? ((he giggles.)) I bet your parents live really far away then, if you have to rent. I didn't really think our school was that great that someone would move here to actually go there!!

[unpleasingly]

I don't have any parents. [It's mostly stated as a fact, but a twinge of sadness still makes it in there.] I've been living on my own for a while. The room was nice, and the rent was cheap, so I chose it. This school happened to be closest. [And a good place for youmu hunting.]

[waddling]

Oh... ((his happy expression drops, and he looks away from her.))

I'm sorry that happened, Mirai-chan...

[unpleasingly]

[She shakes her head.] Don't be. I don't... really remember them. So it's not the worst thing that could've happened, and I could be a lot worse off than I am now. I won't let something unpleasant get me down.

[waddling]

((A cheery disposition returns to him.)) Ahhh, Mirai-chan says it's convenient, but I still think you're very brave about it all. A lot of people would just quit at this point, I think.

Is it hard living alone, then?

[unpleasingly]

[ofc it does. What is it with him and calling her brave?] It's not like I have any other option.

Mm... kinda. Finding enough money can be a struggle at times. Why are you so interested in it, anyway?

[waddling]

That's a silly question. ((He smiles amiably.)) Because I want to get to know you, Mirai-chan!

[unpleasingly]

Wh-- [Okay, that was honestly a little unexpected.] Why me of all people?

[waddling]

Uh, ((he's just a little embarrassed by her response,)) Because you seem like a really nice person to know, of course. And I'd like to be your friend!

[unpleasingly]

You're unpleasant! [Not really, just making her very flustered!!!] You shouldn't try and get to know me! I'm not as nice as you think.

[waddling]

Ahh, then I bet you're even nicer than I think, huhhh?? ((Translation: he don't believe that for a second.))

[unpleasingly]

You hardly know me at all, don't involve yourself with me! [And she, quite defiantly, picks up her pace to walk away from him.]

[waddling]

((Picking up his pace too, he looks rather distressed as he follows her.))

Ahh, you can't just sell yourself short so quickly!!
