The Captive Meme

Rules
1. Post your character with name, series, and preferences in the subject heading.
2. Those that respond are now that character's prisoner using one of the scenarios below or making up one that suits.
3. Reply.
4. Profit!
This meme may contain dark, triggery, and sexual content. Please be respectful of each other and communicate preferences clearly.
Scenarios
1. Crime and Punishment - someone's done a very bad thing and now they're paying for it with their freedom. Maybe the jailor will be kind, but do you really deserve kindness?
2. For Science - an alien species, a rare supernatural being, an anomaly that must be studied. You're a lab rat being poked and prodded for the pursuit of knowledge. Don't you feel honored?
3. The Zoo - similar to the science option, but this time you're not being studied but observed and cared for, like a pet but much more expensive. Maybe some ambitious activists will come try to release you someday. Until then, try to ignore the tapping on the glass.
4. For Your Own Good - maybe you'll hurt yourself or others if your captor sets you free. Maybe you let someone bind you on purpose. Either way, you aren't resisting captivity.
5. Behind Enemy Lines - were you caught sneaking into an enemy's fortress, or are you simply playing captive to get inside their base? Either way, you'd better hope interrogation doesn't last too long.
6. The Sexy Kind - it's all just fun and games. Maybe you've come to a pleasure dungeon to relax and let go, or maybe this is a private game between you and your lover.
7. Master and Slave - someone else owns you, and they don't have to let you go.
Orihara Izaya | Durarara!! | OTA
Depending on scenario, he could also be the captor. If you'd like to go that route, throw me an idea and we can talk about it.)
1
Okay, he definitely did. In fact, he sold some very sensitive information about a certain classmate to a certain obsessed older sibling. He should really feel bad about it, except that it's kind of hard to do so, considering that older sibling drugged Izaya's drink, gave Mikado access to his apartment, and took a vacation.
Maybe she finally got fed up with Izaya's mouth, he figures, but it's not really his business either.
All that matters is that Mikado is sitting in Izaya's chair, and the man who should normally occupy it is literally under his feet, hands and feet duck-taped together, slowly regaining consciousness.
Mikado wiggles his toes against his footrest.]
Izaya-san? Please do wake up, I'm starting to get a little concerned.
ILU
Well, that's fine. This will do, too.
Still, he stays silent until he's absolutely sure of at least the basics of what's happening. Hands and feet bound; no pain worth mentioning. The fact that he ended up like this in the first place, combined with the way his thoughts refuse to clear up properly, makes drugging pretty obvious - and if Izaya is not yet considering how and who, that won't take long to figure out once his thoughts bother to turn that way.
Ironically, from this unusual vantage point, it's his location that registers last. In his own apartment... Mikado is concerned, is he? Not as concerned as he will be when Izaya gets out of this.]
Mikado-kun... You should think very carefully before you take this any further.
no subject
[Mikado gives a little wiggle of his toes again. Some part of him is sad he didn't think to leave his shoes on, but it had felt weird wandering around Izaya's place while he slept with them on. Kidnap the man? Sure. Wear shoes in his home? Mikado could never do that!
He shakes his head at himself, then drags his mind back to the topic at hand.]
Do you think I would have done this without considering all the repercussions? I already have my plans for leaving town ready.
LMAO, perfect example of the Boss/Moe divide.
[There's only the barest hint of a threat in the words; Izaya doesn't need to bother with those, after all. Most of it is pure, genuine curiosity - and that's enough like normal that he can relax, closing his eyes and smiling.
Why wouldn't he, anyway? He decided long ago to live without fear, and he has very little to lose here. There's only one thing that would truly and rather permanently put him out, and he doubts that Mikado would go that far, let alone do it himself.
That said, Izaya wasn't really expecting this, either.]
And what exactly are you doing? If this is about what I told you the other day, I hope you realize that it's pointless to shoot the messenger. You'd be surprised how many high-ranking officials even can't seem to grasp that concept.
[There, have a casual reminder of Izaya's connections and virtual untouchability along with a rather pertinent question.]
I thought you might like that~
[Mikado pauses, then corrects himself, digging a heel into Izaya's back and leaning back in the chair, as if making himself more at home in it.]
Well, no, it is about that. But not in the way you think. You see, Izaya-san, I've decided that you were right, when you told me how far in over my head I was, and just how many forces were arrayed against me.
[He pauses.]
I've decided to hand everything over to someone else.
no subject
More importantly: lying on his stomach like this makes it hard to look at Mikado - and if Izaya has to put up with this, he at least wants to watch.]
Hah? [At Mikado's simple statement, Izaya does his best to give him a blank stare over his shoulder.] You -...
[That. Is. Hilarious! This may not be the most comfortable position to laugh his ass off in, but Izaya gives it a shot, anyway.]
You really did it? That's precious! Who did you pick - Aoba-kun?
Do you really think that this will make even the slightest bit of difference to your personal safety?
[To his credit, Izaya isn't even thinking about what he personally might want to do to Mikado yet; revenge isn't very high on his list of priorities, though he'll certainly get around to it eventually. It's just funny! To think that the new leader will leave Mikado be - to think that any of the people who have a beef with Dollars would just forget about the old boss! And that darling little Mikado would be afraid enough that he chose to take that chance...
It's the best surprise Izaya's had in ages. It almost makes this all worth it.
Almost.]
no subject
If it were Aoba-kun, it would be very dumb of me to tell you. After all, I'm quite aware that there is no love lost between you.
[He pauses, though, as if considering whether it matters.]
There's a flaw in your question, though. You see, I've decided that my problem all along was trying to run an organization that didn't exist to have a head. You knew that; you told me as much. My intention was to behead the beast once I had solidified my hold, to annihilate my own control over it. I was wrong there too, though.
Dollars exists as an entity that began on a network, and like all such things, cannot be controlled from a single point. So I created many points, each with their own locus of control.
no subject
As for Aoba, Izaya could care less; it's not his favorite human, but he still loves him, even though he can't claim to believe his feelings are returned. He would say as much, too, just to have something to say - there's so much power in being the one talking - but then Mikado drops that bomb, and Izaya has bigger problems on his mind.]
Other chapters of Dollars? In other cities?
[He can't have missed that much; he can't! If it's the same name, he would have heard for sure. But with a different name? In cities far away enough? It's true that it's impossible to know even just what happens in Tokyo, let alone far outside it... or in other countries...
As much as he doesn't want to believe it (and damn, if that Tsukumoya bastard knew when Izaya didn't...!), his mind is racing to come up with possible scenarios, any and every way Mikado could have managed this without Izaya knowing.]
no subject
[Mikado says the single word quite calmly, but he follows it with a laugh. Trust Izaya to think that big. Of course. He's thinking a little too big, but that is part of Mikado's eventual plan, at least. Or rather, the plan of...]
That wasn't exactly what I was referring to, however. Not yet. What I meant was-
[He stands, then walks over to crouch down beside Izaya, leaning over him in a movement that seems worthy of the man he's holding captive himself.]
Moderators. Multiple administrators. More than one person tasked with guiding - through their own actions as well as through restricted access - the ways in which the group grows and changes.
no subject
You say that as if it's always been only you. How do you think Dollars kept growing while you ignored it? How do you think it grew at all, without any effort from you?
[Now would be a good time to shut up, but the fact that he thought too highly of Mikado just before is really annoying Izaya. Not because he made a mistake (though, let's face it, that certainly plays its part too), but because Mikado has reaffirmed his status as nothing special, just any human - but he's still 'any human' that managed to capture Izaya like this. In his own office.
So no, Izaya is not going to stop talking now. He has plenty to say, as it happens, and while there are many secrets he will not share, there's enough that Mikado really should have been able to figure out already.]
Who do you think keeps sending out invitations, bringing in anybody who could be of use?
[He even creates the accounts most of the time, providing members with a ready-made username and password! But that's one of the things he will not tell Mikado. Izaya has very interesting (and valuable) files containing name, username, and various personal data of many Dollars members, after all.]
no subject
His surprise does show, despite his efforts, in a slight wavering motion of his hand, before he settles it on his own thigh.
His voice, when he speaks, is still utterly calm.]
We're talking about different things here, Izaya-san. It's true that deciding who to invite does to some degree shape the face of Dollars, and it's possible to create pockets of specific types of activity by bringing in those who would engage in it.
[He reaches out, brushes his fingers through Izaya's hair in a gesture that wouldn't be abnormal for the man to do to him, or to anyone else he was playing with.]
I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about taking what Blue Square has been doing and... de-centralizing it. So that multiple groups - with individuals at the head of them - actively police Dollars.
no subject
That's a great idea. I give it about two weeks before the first of them starts to get ideas of breaking off from the group, or taking over entirely. Three months before solid alliances are formed, four before an internal war breaks out - and half a year from now, Dollars in its current form will be nothing but a memory.
[Which, all things considered, would be a waste of effort, but it's not like Izaya doesn't have many other things going. If Mikado's Dollars is a story soon to reach its ending, that's fine by him.]
Of course, depending on who you pick as leaders, it could go much, much sooner.
[Especially if Izaya decides to get involved. He has a lot of information that becomes useless when Dollars seizes to exist, after all - depending on which subgroup will win.]
no subject
[Mikado gives a little tug at the man's hair, then pats at his head condescendingly.]
Izaya-san, it's already happening. Decided on. Out of your control to influence, out of your concern to find out about. They're already in action, and not one of them will turn on us.
[He leans down, so that he can speak close against Izaya's ear.]
But I don't want to tell you all the details. It's more fun that way.
no subject
If it's out of my control, why bother with this?
[If he could, he'd wave his arms around; as it is, his shoulders move slightly in their stead. The question is half attack on a perceived inconsistency (anything to get back at Mikado for that hair pulling), half genuine question; the more Izaya hears, the less he understand what his own role in this is - why Mikado bothered drugging him and tying him up.]
Don't tell me it's a last show of imaginary power. I don't see how I deserve your revenge when I've helped you so much.
no subject
Well, he'll make himself feel better about it. He takes a step back, walks back to the desk, and rummages around for a moment, looking for something to use for a weapon. Anything will do, really; Mikado isn't picky about such things. It wouldn't be the first time he's used office supplies to hurt someone.]
My motivation has absolutely nothing to do with how you have treated me Izaya-san.
no subject
With Mikado looking away, Izaya narrows his eyes. It's annoying to have his desk rummaged through like that, even if there's nothing important out in the open. Office supplies a-plenty, of course. And if Mikado digs into a certain drawer, there's a switch blade in there, too. Sometimes Izaya's visitors don't like what he tells them, after all. Go figure.]
Oh? Don't tell me he finally worked up the courage to tell you?
[Still far from as concerned as he should be, Izaya's smile widens at the thought. That is unexpected - but intriguing.]
Ah, but I wonder if he told you the whole story...
no subject
[Mikado shrugs his shoulders, goes back to looking. He does, in fact, find the knife, turns it over in his fingers, considering it. He'd been planning on using something less... weaponlike, something more along the lines of what he'd done before. But the switchblade feels nice in his hands.]
He's in a safe place now. We're taking care of him, so he'll be able to join us soon. But you... you won't be hurting anyone again, Izaya-san.
no subject
If this is about killing me, you would have been better off doing it while I was unconscious. Do you really think you can look a man in the eyes and kill him, Mikado-kun?
[Still showing no signs of fear in spite of the slight traces of it trying to wrap themselves around his heart, Izaya is pretty sure that's what Mikado plans to do. His reasons for questioning it are different: trying to change Mikado's mind, maybe; hoping to convince him he wanted something else all along.]
no subject
[Mikado puts on his usual nice little smile, then steps back over toward the informant. He kicks at Izaya's legs, to turn him a little, then seats himself on the man's stomach, holding the knife up high, gauging the space between it and Izaya's bound hands. His other hand goes to check the bindings, make sure the tape is still doing its job, that Izaya hasn't wiggled out somehow.]
Well, I will someday. But unless my first aid class has failed me, you shouldn't die from what I'm going to do to you today.
no subject
Hmm, are you sure about that? If you're going to kill me anyway, it would be safer to do it right away. If you let me live, you may never get the chance.
[In fact, Izaya will make sure he never gets the chance. Not that he's trying to encourage Mikado to kill him after all, but the suggestion is worth it, when it allows him to get that subtle threat in.]
no subject
[Mikado shifts his position a little again, draws in a deep breath.]
All right, there is going to be some blood. We already know this. You're likely going to go into shock, as well, and I have something prepared for that eventuality.
[He smiles, softly, and then raises the knife over one of Izaya's eyes, tilting it as if deciding on an angle.]
Now that I'm sure I'm ready, let's make sure you can't make us suffer for you to watch anymore.
no subject
But that is what Mikado wants - his eyes?! For a moment, Izaya wonders how much Mikado knows about him - if the punishment is designed to rob him of his one and only love, rather than just something terrible that happened to pop up in Mikado's head - but, in the end, it doesn't matter. Izaya is not giving up his eyes - his human observation - for anything, let alone to the likes of Mikado.
His hands and feet may be bound, and Mikado may be sitting on him, but that doesn't mean he can't move at all. While he's been docile up to his point - conserving his energy as much as anything - Izaya can't exactly lie still much longer. Suddenly, he bucks, as hard and high as he can, pulling up his knees for a second, even harsher movement. With that, he wiggles and turns. If he can just get Mikado off him, that will be half the battle; if he can get hold of that blade, even with bound hands, it won't be three seconds before he's turned their roles around.]
no subject
Of course, he can't entirely keep himself in the same spot when Izaya is bucking under him like that, but he can move with the older man instead of letting himself be caught off balance. It's a little like what he imagines a rodeo would be like, but also a little like something else, and he finds himself laughing as that thought comes into his head.
If there's a touch of madness in that laugh, it's the man beneath him that pushed him in that direction, so it's only right that Izaya's ears are the only ones he allows the insanity to touch. It's only proper that when Mikado comes up with another weapon - from his pocket - he wields it against the man who taught him that he was capable of evolving into someone who would hurt, would kill.
Mikado brings the needle down clumsily, but that's all right. He's been assured that the drug - an experimental and very dangerous one - will work just fine as long as it gets beneath the skin. Once the plunger has been pushed, he jumps backward, letting Izaya go, the knife still held out of his reach.]
When she sold me that, she said she didn't think I had the balls to use it. I wonder what she'll think if I bring her to meet you, a week from now, a month from now.
[The drug itself should make Izaya's body start to feel heavy and useless pretty quick, though it's not going to turn his mind off. That would be too easy, of course.]
no subject
But of course the boy is prepared for that, too. Instead of everything fading to black, Izaya's muscles relax against his will, his body feeling like it's all but melting against the floor. And of course - of course - there is a certain 'she' responsible for that.]
Namie-san...
[Izaya's laugh is brief and hollow, lacking all amusement. He's always expected her to turn against him at some point; that's part of why he hired her, and why he's kept needling her ever since. He'd always hoped to see her when she snapped, hoped to make her snap like she did when they first met. And now... well, now he'll never see her like that again, will he? She gets the last laugh after all. Somehow that's at least a little easier to take than Mikado beating him, even if it's through Namie.]
Always so cruel.
[She should have at least done this herself; she should have cared enough for that.]
