highschool au meme

1. Post with your character with their name and series in the subject line.
2. Roll 1-19.
3. ???
4. Play out high school AU times.
1. first day
Catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. Oh, you're the new kid. Well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of Times New Roman size 12, single-spaced.
2. first period
You're gonna be late! Or are you already there? Class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.
3. lesson proper
You're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight - or dismay. Try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.
4. faculty
Have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. A crush on the cute chemistry teacher? There might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. In any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. Or maybe they plan on seeing you!
5. lunch break
Man, you are starving. Hopefully, today's menu has something good. If the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.
6. hooky
One of you is skipping class. You should try talking them out of it if that's your thing.
7. detention
What on earth did you do to get this? Oh well. Detention can't be that bad when you've got all these very nice, approachable model students around to talk to.
8. p.e.
Baseball, basketball, dodgeball - no matter the sport, just remember: you are the star. It's you. At least, you hope it is.
9. home ec
Sewing! Cooking! ... Try not to burn the school down!
10. lab work
Frog dissections! Explosions!
11. school fair/festival
Every school has one of these. What's your class doing this year?
12. theater
Oh boy, oh boy, being the star of this play is your dream. It isn't? Oh. You're still helping with the props and costumes, right?
13. library
If you need to look something up or just want some peace and quiet, this is the place. Whatever you do, shh, people are trying to read.
14. bully
Whether they take the form of Nelson Muntz or Regina George, if you choose to meet them at the gym at four o' clock or else, be ready to face the consequences... or maybe you don't have to. Not when someone's here to help you out. (This can go either way - one of the participants can be the bully or someone helping the victim.)
15. tutor
You're having trouble with a class or you're trying to make up for the days you were absent. It's a good thing someone was nice enough to offer their assistance.
16. clubs
Assuming that you actually have one. Are you writing for the school paper? Part of the student council? The marching band? Maybe you're a member of one of those weird occult clubs or something...
17. prom
Do you have a dress? A date? Who are you voting for prom king? Is being on prom committee is driving you crazy? Do you even care?
18. graduation
Well, it was fun while it lasted. It's time to say those last words, settle those scores and get ready to grow up.
19. roll again/make your own scenario
7 crack!detention here we come!
She'd never had a detention in her entire life!

He tore a piece of paper from his notebook and wrote, in his nearly illegible handwriting, what are you doing here?
He folded the note in half and, quickly as he could, put it on Tifa's desk.
:D
Then she squinted. Shifted the paper a little to the side. Then the other side. Pressed her lips together and - okay, she could kind of read it. The question though had her blinking. Oh... that was a - long story. Handwriting slanted and lacking the distinctly feminine roundness most girls used, she wrote back:
Aerith was protesting the expansion of the parking lot. huh. Well, okay. It wasn't that long of a story after all. Another pause and she added: why isn't Jim with you? Because if anyone knew anything about McCoy it was that he hadn't gotten in a spot like this under his own merit. Note refolded and with all the casual smoothness of someone that did this for a living, Tifa waited until the teacher had just started a new row of problems on the board and simply lowered her arm, paper between two fingers and held it backward along the line of chairs, wrist twisted to make it an easy retrieval.

His lips twisted at her question, and he wrote in return, he got away in time. ass. It was a fond invective. Really.
That done, he refolded it and tapped the back of her seat with his sneaker, holding the note back out for her to take.
no subject
how're you at Algebra?
no subject
Pretty good. Got a problem?
ps pun totally intended
the thought of older McCoy using the word totally like that delights me to no end
dork
Less than a minute, a hopeful smile and an earnest request to the teacher and she was back, pulling her desk back next to Leonard's with a triumphant smile and an indulgent teacher watching before going to his own desk.
"I asked if you could help me with my homework." There were certain advantages of being known as the 'good kids'.
fff he secretly probably would
"So. Algebra problem, huh?"
also snickering at 'make one person cry' becasue I suspect he didn't even have to lift a hand
"Sure." She nudged her book between the two of them as evidence, head bent toward his so they could talk quietly. "It seemed easier than passing notes." Her voice shifted to imitate a black and white movie gangster's drawl. "So what're you in for?"
nope. just looked.
well, he does seem like he'd be good with THAT look, even young
And maybe a bit of a push over in the sweet kind of way.
Tapping her pencil against her cheek, she hummed softly - and shot him a look from the edges of her dark eyes, laughing silently. "Sounds like you need to pick slower friends, Leonard."
he's had a lot of practice
"I need to get less stupid friends," he muttered, though there was a softness to his eyes that took off the harshness of his words. "Or at least a couple of sensible ones to balance Jim out."
well, someone 's got to be 'dad' in the group
"I don't think I'd be much help with finding them for you."
and it's going to be him because he's the only one with sense, sob
Tifa can sympathize. She's kind of been assigned 'mom' duty in her group.
"No. A very fancy and scientific name I can't remember for a flower that grows there and apparently doesn't grow anywhere else in the area."
they should bully around all those damn kids. listen to your parents!
"I guess I can get that. How'd she protest?"
those pesky kids never listen.
"Well, she didn't have a tree to chain herself to so she did it to the bulldozer the school had rented for the job instead." Tifa's head ducked and the rest was a bit of a mumble behind a sudden curtain of dark hair. "But she'd been out in the sun all day and I was worried about her and she wouldn't leave to go inside and get something to drink because then they'd move the bulldozer if someone wasn't strapped to it..." A single eye shifted to peer up at Leonard, as if asking if she could stop yet.
/fistshake
"You're a damned good friend, Lockhart," he said with a brief smirk over at her. "So why isn't she in here too?"
no subject
"Well.... someone had to stay free so that they could go around and dig up all the plants for replanting in a safer environment... and I don't even know what the plant looks like... so?" the look she gave Leonard assumed he'd understand the rest.

"Still. You better be getting dinner out of this at the very least."
no subject
"No dinner probably." She shot Leonard a smile from the edges of her eyes. "But she might make me brownies."

"I can ask for one of those if you'd like." They'd been talking about her but it wasn't as if she'd forgotten. "It's only fair you get to share some. You're in here for a friend too."
