[another night behind another hunter bar while lila has herself a smoke and sylar chills with her, back pressed against the wall and eyes staring up at the sky. it's hard to get a good look at the stars in big cities like chicago, but there's still some you can make out. randomly, he asks]

[When Lila laughs, its in a cloud of smoke like a sudden burst of gunfire. Quite possibly the most random topic they've broached. She tips her head back to peer at the sky for a second before looking over at Sylar.]

Yeah? What makes you think so? Too much X-Files? [he grins at her, then turns his head back up towards the sky. yeah ok he's teasing her, but it's good-natured.]

As far as I can tell? No. [and he's conducted experiments, okay. playing possum during close calls is a lot more convincing when you can jump off buildings and get shot several times while attempting it.]

What if you were drawn and quartered, do you just regrow limbs? Would your head grow back? Do you ever scar? What if your heart was ripped out like in Indiana Jones? Or what if you were disemboweled?

I think coming back from most of it's plausible, though. Except from losing my head. It all comes from the brain. You know, something in the brain chemistry. So if something happened to the brain, then ... [shrug] that'd be it, I imagine.
