Cocking his chin up, Peter relaxed his stance. The scent of pack in the air made him edgy for some reason. So he walked to where Stiles was sitting and sat across from him, still with a calculating gaze. He knew what would be the logical choice in this situation: getting rid of the little one. Less weak points, and it wouldn't divide Derek's attention. They didn't need more distractions.
But his instincts wouldn't have let him. He knew he wouldn't lay a clawed finger on Stiles until that little spawn of probably more hyperness was inside him. Pack was important, despite tragic experiences and mistakes. Pack was always first. Mothers bearing Alpha's children were especially protected. Peter found it awfully ironic that instinct made him kill one of his family and now the same instinct was forcing him to probably stay around more at this awful place with this silly boy. And risk his own life, ugh, brilliant.
"My nephew just learned how to be a 'decent' Alpha indeed. And you just added 'father' to his responsibilities. Instinct or not, it's not going to be the first mistake in this chapter." he sighed, spreading his arms. "I'm surprised you're still in town."
