Why would you not love a creature that can breathe fire, spit venom, bring rain, talk a thousand languages, has a huge hoard in an even bigger cave system, can destroy castles, and kidnaps princesses and raid the countryside for the hell of it? Dragons are known around the world in all sorts of shapes and sizes for a reason. They are fucking awesome, even if they are coming at you with all of the rage of a… dragon.

Now, are you a dragon? Did you find a dragon egg? Do you have to slay one and save the kingdom? Is one your sidekick on a dangerous quest? Is one hunting you down in vengeance? Are you trying to hide one from your parents? Are you gonna ride one?

Don’t forget, they like to hoard things—keep your weird items close to you.

[ info in journal! was trapped inside a story and deadlocked in a 1000 year long fight with a dragon -- only to eventually make peace with her once he regained his autonomy. in this context, i'd be playing her as a companion. as a result, he's highly protective of other dragons and will readily go to bat for them as creatures worthy of life even when perceived as threats to humanity.

[ Is the dragon, I use the conception of Lancelot's written madness in Arthuriana to represent it as a dragon. This is because Dragons in the old age era are often utilized and shown to be messages of doom, bad, ill omens, etc. Further one of the first fights Lancelot has is with a dragon, and narratively dragons and Lancelot can be a fun analogy to write. As such Dragon!Lancelot is more unhinged and crazed but sometimes can be more with senses. ]

[ Haha there isn't a big need to learn about it! You can just approach it the same way any other canon character or oc. So I am totally here for it!! I love OC's. Is there anything in particular you are interested in? Being an old vampire from long ago may have its advantages. Might even know exactly what is going on with Lancelot upon seeing him immediately.

A lot of his 'madness form,' since it isn't ever spoken of in legend, comes from him living with the Lady of the Lake and being raised by her. Rather than positive transformation or traits occurring, negative ones had instead, especially because he began to have serious depression/anxiety/etc. So anything magical inadvertently turned into a self-instilled curse. One that... Actually manifested magically. Hopefully that makes sense, tldr his madness form (dragon) is a cursed form made from his own self-inflicted feelings!

Eizen is a type of being that's sort of a spirit of the land, but when those type of beings are tainted at all by malice or dark energy it changes them into dragons pretty much. Come fight him, or can have him more aware of his surroundings, talking dragon??? Even have him slightly changed so he's still mostly human looking, whatever you fancy. ]

Maybe your character has heard of a girl who's been "kidnapped" by a dragon and it's actually a misunderstanding with Yuzu staying with her dragon willingly despite how insane that might sound. That or you can play the dragon who has decided to attach themselves to this girl and her Good Dragon Vibes. ]

[Canonically an absolute Dragon fangirl and Dragon type empath, she can communicate by heart with Dragon types! She also shares their weakness to ice and snow... she hates the cold and has a fear of Ice types.

It might be fun to play her as a Dragon herself or having Dragon-like powers, too!]

((Trip's whole shtick in the Venipede episode is that he's willing to use violence ~~namely fire~~, even at the risk of escalating violence leading to human and Pokemon deaths on both sides, because ultimately he intends to save other humans, even if they're in the wrong.

So, yes, he absolutely would go and try to kill even a sympathetic, even perfectly justified, rampaging Dragon, because he's cynical and jaded and doesn't care if he becomes a villain. He quite frankly doesn't care about the reasons. (But he can be persuaded if another option's viable.)

... on the flip side, he's got a prince theme, not a knight one (that's Georgia's thing), so he can totally be a damsel in distress, he just won't like it one bit, because of his Serperior-sized pride, but. Y'know. It'd be funny.))

She's also particularly frightened of the move Outrage... maybe a rampaging, out-of-control Dragon in her past...?

Her brother also trained Dragon types, so... perhaps in somewhat bumbling naivete, Oichi... might be expecting him to be a transforming Dragon, perhaps?! One-eyed seems accurate so far!!]

(You’re fine, it’s helpful to get the full context fr! My main question is how much would the dragon form be in control and vise versa here? Luka can handle p much anything, he’s just hard to kill and he’s enough of a nosy nimrod to just insert himself into odd situations for the fun of it. That being the case, he could be someone sent to keep an eye on Lancelot or just someone who sees him go dragon mode and thinks ‘wow what a strange young man, let’s see what all this is about!’
I think Luka having an ulterior motive would be fun to play with, that he’s on the clock looking after Lancelot or some such, but it can certainly be something that doesn’t come up right away. Lancelot trying to cope with his situation and using Luka as an example of how to live with immortality/weird powers could be interesting as well!)

[ Oh I love that, caretaker of a menacing dragon who is out and about causing issues - but knowingly this is something that he himself if sane WOULD NEVER WANT to do. Such as hurting innocence, but in that state of a dragon he would potentially be unable to hold himself back. Hopefully, that answers your question too!

If we look at it kind of like in Fire emblem terms - not sure if you are familiar. When dragons become dragons - the longer they are in that form. The more insane/deranged they become. It can kind of be like that, with the added stipulate that only something holy can change him back, or lmao ~ love ~ bc canonly the only three ways to change him back was, his Shield from his mother, Guinevere, or the Holy Grail.

I think the two would be interesting if we jump right into an interesting exchange either with Lancelot being disgustingly spiteful against humanity, mortals, and etc annoyed by the elf either keeping track of him suddenly - or a long time. Maybe even having just fought momentarily and now falling into a 'lets just talk and exchange vocal blows @ each other.' etc

[ Stories of dragons holding girls captive were far from unheard of, albeit largely fictional. What use does a dragon have in holding girl captive, after all? That said, they weren’t implausible either. Dragons of sufficient strength and age to possess wisdom are known to possess hoards as well, and far be it from humans to try and comprehend the desires of dragons.

The rumor of a red dragon bearing heterochromatic eyes and sporting jewels embedded in it’s body was already a fast-spreading one, but it only spread faster when a young girl was supposedly spotted being whisked away by the beast.

Suddenly the quest to slay the dragon became one of moral responsibility rather than simply monetary gain. Save the poor maiden before she becomes the dragon’s next meal! Become a hero!

Yuzu was vaguely aware of this rumor. A group of adventurers appeared days earlier, claiming to have come to her rescue. They were chased away, of course… her beautiful friend here may not fly, but their power was immense, and she knew she had nothing to fear alongside them.

Her current home is up in the mountains, the path treacherous enough that it will turn away the average traveler. Her dragon, whom she’s dubbed “Odd-Eyes” after having heard that dragons with special eyes are to be revered and named as such, should be sleeping somewhere nearby as she sits atop a stone arch hanging above the cave that she’s used for shelter, staring up at the clouds with a content smile on her face. ]
