A meme where you get to dole out the sweetest affirmation when you're getting down and dirty? Must be all about that praise kink!

how to play

- comment with your character, prefs, what role they'd play (praise-giver/praised), etc. if your character's the type to throw out the positive reinforcement, your one-line starter can go in the top level! (ie, "good pet," you know how it do)
- on the other end of the spectrum, should your big dumb mess want to soak up all that affection, people commenting to you will bring the line of dialogue.
- thread from there. that's it. easy, huh?

My heart. [ Her fingers glide, spring rain-soft, along the curve of a jaw. ] That's what you feel like now, so I'll call you that.

[As if she could actually forget. Not a lot of people really give her butterflies.[

Cora [Her name is said with warmth, and brimming with affection]

I could never forget you, sweet thing. It is...wonderful to see you again.

[Ooc: Decembra is very much in the same boat and is more than happy to indule Cora with All the affections~]

['Sweet thing' -- a very noticeable blush is already dusting her cheeks, and an almost sheepish laugh leaves her. Still, despite her obviously flustered state there's something unmistakably fond there.]

I could never forget you, either. Never met anyone who could steal my heart so easily until you.

[Like a moth drawn to a bright light, she steps closer without hesitation. Carefully reaching out with a hand. Maybe there's a tiny part of her that's afraid this is a dream, but that doesn't seem to be the case quite yet.]

( praised, probably. but could be either. )

[The smile grows on her lips, widening ever so slightly with her words. When Cora reached out, she stepped forward-- eager to close the distance between them. She took her hand, her thumb brushing across the back of her hand before she brought it to her lips and pressed a soft kiss there]

I was afraid you didn't feel the same [There was relief in her voice, as she gently pressed Cora's hand to her cheek relishing in the warmth of her touch]

[Her heart flutters in her chest, it beats. She feels like she can breathe, as if she's really living. Decembra's touch is the same as she remembers it: gentle and soft, but still with the kind of passion that she's wanted for so long.]

I did-- do. I'll be the first to admit that sometimes I can be a coward. I was terrified that you'd learn more about me and see all the cracks. [And then, softer--] Leave. It sounds stupid out loud.

[Her heart aches at her words, and she steps forward the distance between them a mere whisper. Not quite pressed together but close enough that she could feel the warmth of the other woman's body]

No, it doesn't sound stupid. [She offers her a sincere smile, taking her hand and squeezing it] I was worried I had said something wrong, or done something wrong. I... I'm so happy to see you again.

[Without really thinking about it Cora tugs her closer. She wants that distance closed, to have that contact she'd missed so much and now longed for. Her brows furrow, and it's difficult to fight off the feeling of guilt twisting her stomach into knots.]

It does to me, at least a little. But I promise that it wasn't you. I just... have a lot of hangups that I'm trying to work through. It's a slow process. [Gently returning the squeeze.] ...I'm happy to see you again too. And just as happy that you still feel that way.

[The gasp was soft and unconcious when Cora pulled her closer, her heart racing a bit faster in her chest.]

Darling. [She leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to her brow before resting her own against Cora's closing her eyes]

My heart is yours, I thought I made that clear, sweet thing.

[This time, she doesn't hesitate to wrap her free arm around Decembra gently but securely. Like she'd slip through her fingers if she didn't hold on tightly enough. It might be a silly fear deep down, but that doesn't make it any less real.

Her eyes close, and she swears that she feels tears threatening to spill anyway.]

I know that now -- just like my heart is yours. You're the first person I've ever said that to. I don't want to run away again, so I won't. Promise.

[When she held her, tension released from her body that she didn't realize that she had. Her own free arm slipped around her, fingers bunching in her clothing as she held her tight. She breathed her in, relishing the feeling of being in Cora's arms. She trailed her hand up her arm, across her shoulder, and up her cheek cupping it as she leaned back to look at her]

I...

[She couldn't find the right words to express how she felt, the joy that welled up inside her, so great that she could cry from it. Love didn't feel strong enough for what she felt for her...it was strange and wonderful all at once. She kissed her, slow and deep and filled with longing trying to express all that she felt in that one action, letting the kiss linger on her lips.]

[He shouldn't, but Charles leans into the gentle touch, his breath a little uneven. It's dangerous to reciprocate, and perhaps he's being selfish, but - ] I can't think of a sweeter thing to hear.

[ he has a massive praise kink, and is generally embarrassed about it. ]

You're not useless.

[He perks up like an eager puppy.]

Awww! That's one of the nicest things you've ever said to me! Especially since you're always saying I'm good for nothing and too stupid to live!
