Love is the cohesive fabric of society. There is, simply put, no greater force in the world, and a world without it would be doomed to decline.

Love is - and although it may seem easy to do, I find that most fail in this regard - not to claim another's feelings as one's right and privilege. To allow - although it be difficult - the other person their freedom to do as they will, even - no, especially - when it involves making choices that do not include oneself, that exclude, even.

And love is for you to accept it graciously as well, when it is your own lover who chooses so freely.

It's fuel. Love is fuel.

When you care so much it hurts.

Love is complete, unshaken devotion to something outside of yourself.

It's... one of many reasons to act.

Love is an idea that is different for every person experiencing it. There are so many kinds of love and many of them hold hands with other types and even overlap, but love is always different depending on the other people involved. You can have two friends and love them both and love them in completely different ways.

Love is not always romantic.
It's not always platonic.
It's not always familial in nature.

Love can be very complicated or it can seem and feel very simple. Love is deeper than many people would think looking at it from a surface view.

Love? Aha… Well, um, what do I think of it, let me see. . . First of all, love is personal and should make one fulfilled and happy. Love is vital in our society, we wouldn’t have come this far had it not been for it. That being said, it shouldn’t be surprising to you learning that I find one’s expression of love of utmost importance.

We, artists, wear love on our sleeves, whether it is all the papercuts or how often we walk around massaging our wrists. Not to mention the extent to which we pour our hearts into our work. For people, for an individual, or ourselves, you will always find love lurking and waiting to be appreciated, reciprocated, and protected. Could you call it work at that point, or a lifestyle, sometimes I wonder about that. Anyway, I do love what I do and I love knowing it helps other people whether it is directly or indirectly.

Hey, I’m not done.

I also believe love is inherently part of us from the moment we’re born. I only say that because I learned how to cherish the feeling thanks to my parents. It’s a tricky thing, I do wish everyone has someone in their lives that can help their passions come to fruition. Ultimately, one’s passions will determine what path to take in life. To be someone’s guide and have an eternal bond with them not even distance can break, should qualify as love, no? Nobody taught me how to love better than my mother, you see.

All that being said, love is also merciless and terrifying, but trust me, it’s worth giving it the chance. I swear I’m not drunk.

You actually get it, don't you!? That is quite rare these days.

I agree with you. I've been told many times that I'm being needlessly selfless by choosing not to stake a claim on the person I love, but I know they're meant for much greater things and I'd rather watch them reach those heights, not act as an albatross around their neck.
