Massage Meme

Everyone could use a good massage now and again right? Well it's time to let you characters lay back and relax-- or maybe treat someone else to a little skin therapy. ;) Break out the oils and scented candles, it's time for a good rub down.

How to play:
❧ POST with your character (list their name & canon in the subject if you please)
❧ Others can reply giving the massage or receiving it.

Type

001. Shoulder and Neck - the basic of the basic. Perhaps a strained shoulder, been sitting too long at their desk. Or maybe something even more strenuous. However, it's time to work out all those accumulated kinks.

002. Foot - It's time to give those yapping dogs a rest and treat them to a little TLC.

003. Hand - Hey don't forget about the hands, overworked constantly they could use a bit of a break.

004. Arm - Time to loosen up a bit and rub out those arm muscles.

005. Leg - Perhaps you're looking for something a bit more specific and intimate. Calve massage? Thigh? It's your choice.

006. Back - Considered a coup de grace of massage, the back massage, when done right, can bring extreme relief to those who receive it.

007. Scalp - Wanna feel those tingles down your spine? Maybe a little oil to help add health to the hair?

008. Full Body - Maybe it’s not just a specific area you want treated, but your entire body.

009. Wild Card - Anyway you want it. Mix and match, maybe I forgot something you want.

002. Lover - Whether a show of care or a prelude to something more intimate, a massage from a lover is a very welcome thing.

[Sure, care to start us off?]

Lord Celeborn lies on a stone bench that is comfortably cool to his form, naked save a small clothe that hides his lower body from view. A servant massages his Lord's well-sculpted shoulders, in turn gentle and firm.

It was Lady Galadriel who'd insisted that her husband received one of these massages because she thought it'd be good for him and while he didn't care for it at first, he has to admit to feeling quite calm and pleasant because of it and eventually the Sindar closes his eyes and allowed his thoughts to flow freely and carelessly, no longer paying any attention to his surroundings nor the elf giving the massage. Ah...

[ Improper. That's the word for it. For how often she assures her own bravery and demands a chance to prove it, she is, instead, proving herself nothing more than a coward, isn't she? Indulging in a feeling she is certain she isn't meant to have, yes, it would be braver to seclude herself to the ache in her heart and endure the loss of someone she's never truly had to begin with. But she's weak in the worst way and for once in her life, she doesn't fight. Instead, she's spent most of the night watching, waiting, hoping; back in Meduseld, they've spent the evening rejoicing over the victory at Helm's Deep and the familiarity of being home again, and it's there that she notices.

Clean and tended to, Aragorn looks far less worn than he has in the days previously, but she's seen the strained set of his body, the tense line of his shoulders and the stiff set of his neck. She shouldn't have noticed, she knows that. Only someone watching too closely, too long would pick up on such a thing, but nonetheless, even with the knowledge of her own foolishness fresh in mind, she offers with all her usual hopefulness to ease his pains. Surprisingly, to her, and maybe him too, he accepts.

And that's how they ended here. There. In another room that's still too close to the celebration, if the sounds filtering through the still open, almost closed door are any indication. It doesn't bother her too terribly though and honestly, she doesn't hear much of it at all, not when she's standing behind his seated form, hands on his shoulders and fingers pressed into the mix of fabric and tense muscle. Thin as it is, it would be easier for her to work without the barrier there, but she hadn't and still doesn't have the courage to request such a thing. She makes due instead, kneading at the knots she finds, but maybe too gently for all the fierceness she usually carries around. She doesn't have soft, sweet hands, not like she indubitably has, so why is she pretending? She draws her breath out on that, humming one simple note, half considering, half reassuringly, before she gathers her resolve and digs her fingers in earnest... only to slack them at the hiss that follows. ] I'm sorry. I did not think—... [ She stops short on the swift tumble of words and swallows the rest down, keeping her hands as they are for a moment longer, before tentatively trying again, just as awkwardly gentle as before. ]

Legolas wasn't entirely unfamiliar with these places. It was just that, with the spiders constantly encroaching on Mirkwood territory, there hadn't been much time for frivolous activities such as this. He had learned the art himself and would use it from time to time on his father when his war wounds began to act up.

It surprised him to see Celeborn here. This didn't seem the sort of place he would visit. What peeked his interest was the female elf doing the massaging. She must have been new, because she wasn't doing it right.

Ushering her aside, he rubs his hands in the scented lotion and takes over. Celeborn might notice the hands rubbing in smooth motions over his back were a bit larger, a bit more calloused then the elf maiden's.
