The QUANTUM LEAP Meme



Oh, boy...

You have just awoken in a place you've never seen, wearing clothes you'd never wear, and in the mirror is a total stranger. You're here to set right what once went wrong -- that is, change an event in history (or in another world) for the better. To do that, you've leaped into the body of someone native to this time and place, and you need to pretend you are that person to accomplish your task, whatever that may be.

The problem? You have no idea who this person is, or how they'd normally act. If you're lucky, you might find some ID in your pocket, or a nametag, if that's the sort of thing they'd normally carry. Other than that? You've got to talk to people and try to figure out who you are. That's easier said than done, if you're trying not to raise suspicions...

The Setup:

You're now in the body of another character. Anyone who lays eyes on your character will see someone from their own canon, and react to you as if you were that person. Your job is to figure out who you are and how you're supposed to act based on how that person seems to perceive you... like those Party Guest games in Whose Line. Sounds simple enough...

How to play:

Comment to this entry with your character, fandom, and any preferences you might have in the subject line. (Rating, leaper/bystander, gen/shippy/crack/drama...)

Reply to someone else and set the scene for them.

• If you're the leaper: In the subject line, tell them who your character is, and what character you appear to be. Then set up the scene: Are you approaching them directly? Trying to be discreet? Completely ignoring this person you don't know is supposed to be your best friend? Where are you? What are you doing?
  
  
• If they're the leaper: In the subject line, tell them who your character is, and who you see them as. Then set up the situation they've leaped into: Are they about to lay the final blow on you? Make the shot that wins the game? Explain what they're doing in bed with your daughter?

Dan as Fran, because we're insane

Dan wasn't exactly sure what was going on. He has just... woken up in this body. He found this discomforting. And when he spotted Veronica somewhere in the halls, he knew this couldn't end well.

Solution: blow up things and fake amnesia. It was the only way to get good information these days.

And so, Dan combined two very dangerous chemicals and created a very deadly explosion. The blast damaged the doors and smashed Dan against the windows of the lab. "His" body then fell to the floor and a groan of pain escaped Fran's lips.

"Oh god, the pain."
