I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

i. Scenarios
① kidnapped for ransom - everyone wants to make a quick buck. and what quicker way is there than ransoming someones life. Not that everything always goes to plan. Let's just hope that everyone comes out alive and happy.
② kidnapped for revenge - Someone was on the wrong side. Maybe it's the significant other of an Ex. Maybe it's the Ex themselves. Or perhaps it's even more complicated than that. Either way, there's nothing sweeter.
③ cracknapping - Okay, so you didn't mean to drink that much, but now you have woken up in a room with a bunch of mascots from the game and what is going on?
④ kidnapped for help - We need you help. Whether you're willingly up to offer it or not.
⑤ kidnapped for their own good - Want to get you out of a bad situation. It's for your own good. Trust us. You're safe now, you won't be hurt any more.
⑥accidental kidnapping - okay. so this wasn't... exactly what was planned. But looks like we've got an extra person now. W H O O P S ???
⑦ wildcard - Anyway you want it.

[Wandering through the dark depths of Pitch's lair wasn't an ideal situation, but Merida would go through fear and ice to find Jack. He'd tried to pit them against each other, eventually growing frustrated and angry at their stubbornness.

Rather Jack's stubbornness.

But no. No, he may be the Boogeyman, but she was the princess of DunBroch. First born of her clan.

Her pride knew no limits.

And she wasn't afraid of the dark.

He's locked somewhere in the shadows-- Pitch is distracted elsewhere (she'll have to thank her father and their men for becoming a gigantic nuisance, with out question). She creeps forward, bow at the ready. Eyes searching.]

Jack?

[Her voice rebounds off of damp walls. And then is swallowed by the inky blackness]

Jack? Are y'here?

ooc: aside from being the one kidnapped. he's good for being a rescuer, fellow kidnappee or a rescuer that's mistaken for a kidnapper.

[ooc: I am totally up for Thane being hired to kidnap people for whatever reason. Also, totally in the mood to smut things up so... there's that!]

[He's a rich scientist, so he's ripe for the kidnapping!]

[If she's kidnapping you, it's probably to interrogate you for something.]

[A gas station. The entire police force and every supernatural being in Beacon Hills had been searching for Stiles for two days, and of all the places, Derek had found the kidnapper in a Chevron food mart.

He had been standing in front of the cold drinks, trying to recall if Isaac had really asked for a diet coke or if his memory was just faulty - why would a werewolf care about sugar intake - when the bell attached to the door handle jingled. A strong gust of wind filled the small space with the new customer's scent and riding in on its coattails, Stiles'. Derek had waited outside for the guy and convinced him quickly enough that he knew he had Stiles and that he was going to take him to where he was being hidden. Or bad things were going to start happening to his bones. The guy had led him out to his truck and they were on their way.

The strangest part of it was that the guy wasn't magical, or a hunter. He just smelled like a normal, sweaty, nervous human. And then he'd pulled a gun on Derek and it had all gone to hell. Which brings us to Derek's present situation. Truck in a ditch, dead kidnapper still in the driver's seat - don't drive and fire weaponry, kids - and back to square one on the find Stiles front.]

[ He's there, alright - curled up in a ball at the bottom of one of Pitch's cages, hanging in a corner where the light doesn't quite reach. His eyes are shut, and he's drifting in and out of sleep because he's long since given up yelling and spitting insults at the Boogeyman. ]

[ He stirs at the sound of her voice, though. At first he thinks it might be another of Pitch's tricks, but daring to entertain hope, he sits up, feeling the cage sway sickeningly beneath him. If he had his staff, he'd use it for a light, but Pitch has taken it, so he can only squint into the darkness and hope it doesn't start writhing like something alive. He can't spot the source of the voice just yet. ]

If that's you, Pitch, you can stop right now. I'm not falling for that again.

[ Forgive him if he sounds a little cold, but Pitch is very good at imitating voices, and he's done it already a few times. Jack's wary of being deceived again. ]

[Because it totally happened in canon.]

[They killed her father, of course. James knew too much to be allowed to live. He knew where the bodies had been buried, both metaphorical and literal.]

[James died. but his daughter didn't.]

[It's been a long few months of hunting for clues to what past her father buried. But Amelia's one step closer to the truth. She stole a card key from a guard. Even stole his (slightly too-large) uniform. She'd made it deep into the base.]

[But when she comes upon the cellblock, she pauses. Hesitates. Then she swipes the card and makes her way in. No one's going to suffer the same fate. Not if she can help it.]

Oh god. Is someone in here? I'm here to help.

[She knew. God, she knew. Pitch had creeped into her nightmares, turned her mind against her. But she couldn't stop believing in Jack. That wasn't in her plans.

However, his voice sets her heart alight. At the very least she could hope she was getting closer. She was in the right place. She curled her fingers even more tightly around her bow-- don't let this be a trick, don't let this be a trick.

She follows the echos and sounds of his voice, tries to feel where it gets even colder--]

It's not Pitch, Jack. I swear it.

[She ducks under a low hanging cage, trying to be mindful of her steps. She at least knows she's going in the right direction, but she wants Jack to keep talking. As a reassurance. ]

I'll insult y'if necessary.

[The room was dark, the lights barely bright enough to be considered anything more than a joke. There'd been enough people in and out without any real consequences that he didn't really seem to regard the figure with much fear.

But then it turns out he had no reason to. Not that he puts it past them to trick him but...

In the back, ready for a fight, a figure moves, the light revealing more as he walked forward]

Help me, huh? And who are you?

[ooc: Feel up to a 1 or a 4? The bad guys can be planning to use the ransom to fund their research or trying to force the genius scientist to help them figure out a piece they found inside some tombs?]

Lilah. [She steps forward, looking lost in the pilfered uniform and a cap pulled down low over her face. But strapped to her back is a combat shotgun; she'd be a fool if she went in unarmed, after all.]

[She peers up from under the hat's brim at Leon, looking pale and drawn. What were these guys doing here? And why was this man locked up in the dark...?]

I'm not- I'm not with these people. I didn't expect this, trust me. But I think I can get you out of there.
