That grunt made her feel worried a little bit. What made her worry even moreso was his overall appearance. What happened to him? Who did this to him and for what reason?

"Shhhhh, save your strength. You are safe now, I promise. I won't let anything hurt you." She cooed and pet his hair some more.

Thanks to his help, she was able to get him into the cart and eventually to her house. Or at least a shed that she rushed to prepare for him. It was going to be a temporary place. Soft clean hay and blankets and pillows for him to rest against. Once he was settled, first order of business was to clean his gashes and wounds. All the while, she spoke softly to him not really expecting him to answer her back.

Once gashes and wounds were cleaned, she stitched them up, taking a small break afterwards before moving to his wings and tail. His spine... that one she will have to check out when he was fully unconscious. For his comfort as well as her own.

"Shhhhh rest.... you are safe now. Good boy... You are a good boy..." It was time to comfort as she moves to gently pet his head/hair again. "Save your strength and rest now."
