In Japan. My mother's family is Russian. And I travel a lot so it comes with the territory...

I grew up in the country, up in Tohoku.

Can you speak other languages if you travel so much then?

I can speak pretty good English, since it's so universal. And I picked up some Italian and French from competitions and vacations, but not enough.

Traveling overseas is...fun. I get some of my best naps on long plane rides. I recommend it but only if it's for leisure.

It's alright. It's just the countryside. I like it better here in Tokyo.

The only English I know is...some foods and most fashion brands. How often do you travel? I can't imagine sleeping for long periods of time on the plane is comfortable.

Countryside's not so bad. It's much more quiet. Less crowded, much cleaner...

[He supposes Tokyo isn't that bad, but it can be worse.]

I travel about once a month, or once every two months, depending on if it's the off-season.

Some planes let you recline the seats. Others even have seats that go all the way back into beds. Of course, those seats can cost a fortune... Anyway, they're not so bad, and your body learns to adjust real quick.

If given the chance, where would you like to travel?

I mean, you're right. It is dirtier out here but I prefer the busy bee, bustling lifestyle of the city.

If I were traveling for leisure like that, I suppose I could deal with the discomfort of sleeping in seats... Can't really be picky, right?

Paris or England. The States could be fun, too, but I'm more inclined to see European countries.
